Topic: Synastry Chart for Me and an Old friend

Hi,I have a great platonic relationship with a guy i have known for almost 15 years. From the moment we met we just hit of off and seemed to "get" one another. The strange thing is I am a Capricorn and he is Gemini and i don't normally gel too well with Gemmies. So i can't understand why we connect so well as friends. i have looked at our synastry chart but nothing of great significance stands out. Would love the opinion of others who are more expert at reading charts. Here is the chart and thanks for reading.

you're only mentioning your sun signs (gem/cap) and those are fairly useless in synastry so 'whether a gem/cap can get along' is not the question when you look at the entire synastry chart. you're looking for planets in connection to one another beyond just a simple sun sign and, generally when people connect it's not through the sun sign but through the moon, venus, or some other hidden aspect most people have no idea about. which is what is happening in your chart w/this guy - it's not sun sign based. you have 'romantic' house overlays, which would generate happy feelings between you, whether as friends or more. your own sun and mercury fall into his 5th house (of fun/romance) so it wouldn't be unlikely that you'd want some type of romantic relationship w/him if given the opportunity. the same is true for him; his moon falls into your 5th house of romance (one of the best moon placements for love imo), and his sun/venus/mercury all fall into your 7th house of partnership/marriage, so he might be awakening feelings within you of that nature. your house overlays w/this guy are good, because they are reciprocal, but the planets themselves (imo) aren't well-aspected for long-term stuff. sometimes we just have really great synastry with someone w/no possibility of anything other than strong, bonded friendship and you likely have this w/this guy - a good friendship where you understand/relate to one another very well because of how the planets fall within your shared chartIP: Logged |

Thank you very much for that analysis; very helpful and informative. Yes, there is an upbeat fun loving vibe to our relationship,we love having a laugh and enjoy chatting for hours about all sorts. We did date for a year a long time ago, but it fizzled out, but we have remained great friends since.

We have Sun and Venus conjunct and a few oppositions to venus and uranus,which probably indicated our split...Any thoughts on the chart would be welcome. Thanks!Out of curiosity is that a Mystic Rectangle in the chart??
