Hope you don't mind that I pulled some cards for you!

Asking the questions if she is jealous I got The Star. Is this person younger than you? She may find you inspirational, or consider you to be the ideal in the some way. You may appear to be mystical and dreamy--perhaps exotic to her? This card may be saying that she "wishes" she was more like you.

As far as this person's feelings, I pulled the 7 of Swords. This has to do with "getting away" with something, or leaving an established "community". Did you do something that might make her feel as if you "took" something from her? Or perhaps she feels that you "get away" with everything.

The High Priestess also appeared so I sense this is definately a female centered issue. The relationship between you too seems mysterious. Are there some hidden feelings or emotions that haven't been expressed between you two?

How she feels about you:

I think she feels frustrated. In her heart I think she wants to be friends, but she doesn't really know how to go about it and so she feels blocked and disillusioned. Nothing changes because she doesn't know how to make it happen. This frustration then manifests as aggression towards you, because she tells herself it's her fault when deep down she knows it's her own.

Interesting I pulled The Star too! I think this combination points to admiration - she seems to think highly of you. Perhaps she sees you as self-confident and successful and/ or skilled, something like that. I think she would like to be more like you.

Bottom card:

Queen of Pentacles (reversed)

I think this gives the background to the situation on this occasion, which shouts 'self doubt' to me. I think she's insecure and lacks confidence in herself, on the inside at least, and this is the root of her problem. She lacks confidence in her ability to be friends with you, which I suspect she finds particularly hard because of how much she admires you. Perhaps she is secretly afraid that you won't think she's 'good enough' to be friends with. Maybe one of those people who feels more comfortable around people who they feel that they are 'better than' in some way. All you see is the frustration she has for herself projected onto you.

To conclude, I don't think she is jealous of you, per se but she definitely admires you.

That is so interesting that you got The Star too! Yes, there is a lot of admiration. I think admiration also forms the basis for many jealousies especially with women.

Plus a court card that really shows her personality--The Queen of Pentacles. Shows she has her own strengths, but that she doesn't see them herself right now.

Thankyou! Though I feel I might have a hefty dose of beginner's luck. I'd be happy to have a go on another thread but as I say I'm only just starting, so it would be really good if lotus_flower could do it too (and anyone else who wanted to!) because I don't trust my own judgement entirely yet! I don't think I should be let loose wielding advice!!!

lotus_flower - what suggested family to you, the Ten of Cups or was it anything else in addition? I didn't notice the family connotations when I was interpreting. I feel like the cards I pull are truthful but the weakness comes in translation - I'm like someone trying to speak a foreign language from a phrase book when I try and interpret them! Practice makes perfect though

You know, I don't know what exactly it was---I think I just had a feeling when I pulled out The Star, High Priestess--I got a sense that it was a family issue. Perhaps just intuition.

The thing that I liked best about both the readings is that is reinforced the other in a strange way!

I hardly dare say... really really not very long! It absolutely boggles my mind at the moment that I manage to come up with anything meaningful because I'm used to working with boring logic. I had a go for practice and only piped up because I pulled The Star, the same as you did, and it gave me a bit of confidence about what I was seeing! It seemed to fit together nicely with what you had said.
