imo, there is not much going on here. no strong contacts or house overlays that matter for romantic/long-term interest. you have a lot of leo planets and he has some aqua stuff going on (mercury/mars) - it could just be a case of being interested because of the opposite nature you sense - something 'different' about this person because, fundamentally, he's not similar to you. the venus square pluto is an attraction indicator (venus is often the obsessed person), the sun trine venus is nice, although the orb is too wide for it to mean anything significant, and it appears that your planets falling into his 8th house, primarily, would show much more interest from you than he reciprocates. since most of your planets are in his 12th he won't 'feel' that energy as much, or it'll come out wrong/unfocused. just my opinion here, but i really dislike synastry with mars opposite mars, which you have w/this person, and in fixed signs no less (so neither will 'give in') - mars is the way we 'fight' in simplistic terms, so it would mean that disagreements between a couple could be potentially distancing emotionally, because they just truly don't know how to resolve issues well w/one another. I don't see that he'd be all that invested in you... sorry :-) perhaps others are more optimistic.
