Lol, yes. This helped me view the 8 of Cups differently. Definitely a spiritual quest card . Kind of like "seeking success" (8 of Cups+Chariot)

Not quite, but it 'touches' the subject. What makes it a bit harder is that the 'ace swords' came up in a specific meaning in regards to me and the question.

Lol. Quite good actually. Ace of pents was reversed though & my question was "What obstacle should I overcome to get what I want work wise?"

So Empress her 'should I change jobs?' And referral to business touches that subject. And you touch it very well with the referral to materialising situation (but it's reversed, so that part is falling apart)

My explanation was;
Tower: get to terms with ripping everything you build up business wise back to ground (& start rebuilding.)
Ace pent reversed; I asked this question because I'm not gaining enough from it financially/stability wise anymore (and I'm done with that, lol)
Ace of swords refers to the line of business I am in; writing.

Good guesses both of you! Who wants to go next?

Ace of pents rx Business, money but it was 'blocked' due to rx so was confused how to really formulate the q

Actually it could also fit in that respect: developing new 'ideas'/concepts regarding a situation. Fresh insights/new outlook etc.

(This is by the way the reason I always ask someone else to read for me when I want proper feedback. It's just too difficult to detach myself completely and read the cards objectively. It always has then so much 'hopes' and 'wants' and 'what if's' mixed in And I just keep adding what it also could be, lol)

Yeah me too Twirl. I mostly see what I want to, or it just doesn't make sense to me . Also, sometimes the cards could pick up on your wishful thinking.

Maybe it's telling you, you should really make a clean break to meet this new man. Don't know the card positions, but if it's past, present, future it would say you didn't end it completely (like with tower upright), but left 'some work to be done'. Present would mean: turn over those cups and really let go of all that is still tied to the situation. "End it at the root", or, lol, looking for an English expression. "Weed the complete garden". The minute you have done that, you are open to a new love who definitely has relationship potential.
How does this feel for you? Didn't you let go of the ex completely? Tower reversed still shows me the ending, but in a much slower pace fading away.

It's true Twirl that's what I initially thought.

I did, but we still live together :S. Nothing happens between us though, we are just simply room mates, but I understand this scares off future real potential/love.
Edit:

"Not until you let go of the ex", if not things will remain the same.

But these cards also remind me of him for some reason. Like going back to the same. We'll see. I'll update if he says anything because I am picking up a weird familiar feeling about him, but this time I'm more in tune & won't make the same past mistake(s).
