Oh dear, your thread will probably be moved to Personal Readings.But, without looking at your chart, generally speaking the 2nd house tells us about our income and the condition of its ruler is important, too. Do you have an outer planet in there? Any planet? especially afflicted? Maybe it's a transit.. like Uranus or Pluto. IP: Logged |

No outer planets transiting through 2nd house. I have my moon, Part of Fortune, and Pluto & N.Node conjunct in it however. I do have transiting saturn and N.Node conjuncting my Uranus and Sun in 3rd House. IP: Logged |

Ohh man, Moon, Pluto AND North Node in the 2nd?! No wonder your finances fluctuate!! Moon is all about change - the lunar phases change, and so do our emotions. The matters of the house in which the Moon is placed are usually quite unstable, "moody". Pluto is about crises, purification, reversals. And North Node is where you should focus, so financial stability is definitely an important part of your life journey.
The ruler of a house is the planet that rules the sign of the cusp of the house. If you have Aries in the 2nd, Mars rules your 2nd, for example. If Taurus = Venus, and so on.
And yeah, tJupiter square can do that.
Usually Jupiter transits are beneficial but with a square, may go the other way round and turn negative so instead of gaining, you'd lose.

So the ruler is Virgo, but with all of those planets in Libra. I also have a House 3 Stellium (Venus, Uranus conjunct Sun) with a Libra ruler but Uranus/Sun in Scorpio. The only thing good I see in my chart is that my Neptune in H4, Scorpio Ruler has sextiles to Pluto and N. Node. IP: Logged |

Ah, okay.Where is your Mercury? Mercury rules your 2nd house. Additionally, Venus (because Libra is in your 2nd house, too, along with Virgo). Natal Jupiter squaring all those.. hmm.. yep, could have an unstable effect, again. Maybe you overspend/overdo. Jupiter is usually related to excess, in your case may mean you are not very good at restricting your spending. But hey with Jupiter transiting your 10th currently, sounds like a fortunate time for your career, so things are likely to improve! IP: Logged |

My Venus is in House 3 Libra, Libra ruling H3. It trines my Jupiter and sextiles my Saturn.Funny thing is, I am a big time saver and don't spend that much (well maybe out of circumstance). I have Saturn in 1st house conjunct my ascendent--which makes me disciplined? IP: Logged |

There it is.
Mercury, ruler of 2nd, squares Saturn, the planet of restriction and limitations.It makes sense now. With Saturn, you have to work for what you want. It can easily delay events, but if you persevere to get what you want, you will be rewarded. Just hang in there, there are lots of people with afflicted 2nd houses who struggle but you can make it!

No, Venus does not conjunct Uranus. My Uranus is conjunct my Sun. So what does transiting Saturn/N. Node over my Uranus/Sun mean? House 3, Scorpio Ruler. IP: Logged |

All right.Well the most important element is what I mentioned: Mercury square Saturn. Anddd of course all the planets in the 2nd squared by Jupiter.
Saturn transiting your Sun/Uranus can be a hard time. Usually at such times there are changes, initially for the worse. You need to be responsible now, and act with caution. Saturn is "examining" your reality now, and anything that's not very solid may undergo some crisis or change. Keep in mind that it's for the better, in the long run.
North Node in there can be a favorable influence, maybe someone will come into your life and help you out. Just do what you gotta do, don't take the easy route at this point but try to really "earn" whatever it is that you want. Take things slow! It can be easy to get blue at this time but it's a time to get more realistic and make sober judgement of your situation & act accordingly. Good luck ~

You're welcome!It all depends on the degrees. One thing that can help you know is to enter your birth data on astro.com, and then go to "Short Report Forecast" in the Free Horoscopes section. It will show you the tranists of the moment and how long they will last. Also, usually the orb is tight when it comes to transits. Like 1° or 2°. And you can also go to planetwatcher.com, it's a site that shows you the chart of current transits in the sky and you can enter any date you want and get the chart, very simple and free of course.
