I decided to try a CC spread. I was curious about me and my next long-term partner (still waiting for him )

I'll also give it a try, but think I need opinions about this to get clear about the situation.

What covers me - 9 of Wands - I had a heartbreak a couple of months ago, so I'd consider this card as "on guard"

What crosses me - 9 of Swords - Being trapped by something e.g. fears?

What is beneath me - The Magician - I am changing inside for the better

What is behind me - 2 of Cups - Speaks for itself, the love which didn't end with 'happy end'

What crowns me - 3 of Swords - Also speaks for itself, I'm still a little influenced by this

What is before me - 5 of Pentacles - I'll either get what (and who) I need or I'll have to continue to go alone for some time

My self - 5 of Cups - That's strange, because I don't really feel that now I'm still mourning my 'missed opportunity', but I certainly have some regret in me, still

Around me - 8 of Pentacles - Work in progress?

Hopes and fears - King of Wands - I hope that something will happen, some action

Outcome - The Moon - I don't really like this card, I'd say the outcome isn't clear yet/uncertain - or something will happen in a time frame of 1 month (lunar cycle)

I think the central dynamic is definitely about fears - I'm insecure and that's why I'm on a watch. I am suspicious.

Somehow I feel my future mate is also going through those not-so-happy things these days which I used to in the past.

Hi!

The Moon card to me is also about intuition. So I would suspect that in order for you to let go of those hurts of the past, it is asking to trust in yourself and what you know to be true.

Also, I recently got this card a few weeks ago, and did some research--some consider this card about romance and love.

Here is a thread about that: http://www.tarotforum.net/showthread.php?t=78016

Hello lotus_flower.

I think you're totally right about the outcome! I feel the whole reading is an advice for me. The Moon as letting my intuition work, (and to stop running away from the one I love - self-sabotaging behaviour)

Because of previous heartbreaks I've always been suspicious and had fears.

Then my latest suitor came into my life, but I still continued my self-sabotaging behavior. I couldn't really listen to my intuition that he was the "right one", so mainly these things and other circumstances lead to 3 of Swords!

And because of the heartbreak I've gone under huge changes - maybe that's what the Magician shows. And also the situation left me regretting a few things e.g. not listening to my intuition.

For me the 5 of Pentacles definitely means that I shut not only myself, but my past suitor out in the cold, and now I "enjoy" the consequences of that. But since it's in the near future position could it be that for a little while I'll still be single?
(And since there are 2 people on the card I think my future partner is also "shut out" and walks in adversity.)

But what other cards could show? I mean there's the 8 of Pentacles as what is around me, for example.

Emsie, I took some liberties and added the way I usually read the positions, just to give you an idea of why I say what I'm saying.

Seems to me without reading what you wrote (sorry!! I didn't want to sully my own thoughts) -- you've been beaten up a bit in love, and you're irritated and sad. Not only that, it's keeping you preoccupied in the strictest of senses. You want to know when you have to quit relying on your own "you can do it, just wait it out" positive vibes, and I dunno... actually have what you want! The root cause is Magician. I get a sense you recently went through a major overall and recently found yourself again. Your confidence is back, and you feel you can do anything. Anything except find a long-term partner, which is needling you all shades of red.

The 2 in the past suggests you had somebody or something, but it didn't pan out. I get the sense that there wasn't enough passion to keep you two together, maybe you kept feeling more like friends or family than anything else. However, it still hurt you deeply, because you perceived it as a personal flaw. Like you weren't good enough? The 3 shows deep hurt, but I've often found, because it's a Sword... that it's a little more mental than emotional. It's perceived in ways that maybe the 8 of Cups isn't. The 5 of Pentacles has you literally out in the cold, trying to find who you can be with, and in turn, find that missing part of you that seems to be growing larger everyday. But what's interesting to me is that it isn't an emotional part. Again, it's a Pentacle. This seems to be more and more you feeling like you aren't good enough or concerned that you could be doing "more."

5 of Cups says you don't have something you want, and this upsetting you on an emotional level. I get a sense that... like I want to put my feet on somebody's at night. I don't want rip-roaring, raucous sex. I don't want someone to pick the kids up for little league... I literally just want to crawl in bed with someone who is about to pass out anyway and slide my feet onto theirs and drift off. The 8 is definitely a wait and see card. The seeds have been planted, the Universe has heard you. Maybe focus your efforts on something else; start working towards small goals that will preoccupy you in a healthy way and maybe take away some of the stress you're feeling. Do you sleep okay?? I keep wanting to ask you what's wrong with your shoulders?? Of course, I am also crazy, so please ignore me if I sound like a fruit loop.

The advice is the King of Wands -- be gregarious, be big picture, and just go. He has restraint, he rules a kingdom... but that comes with serious perks of having some badass parties and some lovely times. Do what you want. Explore. Create. Run with the wind and don't look back. The keywords here are confidence and bravado. Enjoy yourself. This is the time if there ever was... and as a result, the Moon. It's all about new roads that seem scary and dark; it's about facing fears and transforming them into strengths and positives in our life. It takes a lot of faith; it takes a man like the King who has the thirst for adventure to move forward. Because it's a major card, it says to me you HAVE to experience this before you find your major life partner. This is fundamentally required before you can meet him, this ability to embrace the unknown and chase it down with a happy heart.

Hope that helps or any of it rings true. Sorry if not You can publicly shame me if so. Lots of love.

Oh my God, beccathelion, this couldn't be more accurate!!! Seriously.

I've been through a very 'heavy' 3 months where the pain and other things I felt changed me and prompted me to look deeper into my soul and search for flaws/reasons if I did something wrong (and why the other person disappeared without any words...)

Now I'm in the phase where I don't really care about the past and themissed opportunity anymore, I'm officially out of the rut!

You mentioned that there wasn't enough passion in the past - well, there was, but it was too much. I mean TOO MUCH! Deadly attraction which made me weary and really exhausted. Never felt such thing before, I couldn't even eat for days. And I felt his energy from a little distance, too.

You have really good insights, it's also true that these days sometimes I have problems with sleeping.

And now I even understand the message of the Moon. I deserve to have fun, I should do so and explore those unknown paths.

Your interpretation is brilliant! Thank you so much!!!
