Something weird happened today, a colleague mailed me that someone informed him that the boss said he was to take over a responsibility that was actually my job to do. (This colleague had been doing this part of the job before; but when he was in "parent time" he asked me to take over, which I did; he is now back again, but we were in agreement that I would continue doing this job; the boss informed neither of us that the responsibilities had changed). So a lot f confusion and miscommunication or non-communication you could say.
And I was now wondering if there were tensions between my boss and me that I was not aware of, and generally was wanting to know in this reading, how my boss views me at the moment and if there IS a problem between us that I need to address. I drew 10 of wands - Ace of wands - 9 of cups. What would you make out of it? The 10 of wands - he sees me as overworked? But what about the Ace of wands? and the 9 of cups? Do not understand these really. IP: Logged |

Hi Ceri,I'd say 10 wands means enough (if not more than necessary) responsibilities taken on, so he doesn't by any means assume you're too easy on yourself. 9 cups is the spurious one here. Like, it sort of means contentment, but also lack of action/too much self-indulgence. Perhaps he wants you to chill out a little bit? Have you been investing a lot of effort/energy lately? Do you come across as exhausted/too loaded with work? IP: Logged |

No, I`ve been there for 8 years this summer. And actually I`ve always had a rather good relationship with my boss (with the distance I am striving for of course. I am happiest if not having to deal with any kind of authority. :laughing However, especially this spring my workload plus responsibility is SO enormous that I am being stressd out a bit. For some reason I am getting "pushed" or "elevated" to sort of leading or responsible positions, I donīt want to have, cause everyone seems to think I am so well organized, which is totally untrue. *sighs*

Yeah, maybe I am. It is really much. I know the stuff has to be done, but it`s just, a lot. On the other hand I am not really screaming HERE when there is more work to do, it just somehow finds me. LOL

Yeah no tension, just that it's too much for you . Do you get things done at a slower pace? Too much work and emotionally stressed sort of like that. He's trying to help u out, lol. "Too much work is beginning to take a toll on you" IP: Logged |

Did you actually check back with the boss if he indeed told this colleague to take over the work that's under your responsibility?Edit: The cards don't look bad to me at all: you are someone that can handle (and has) a lot of work and responsibilities and is inventive in dealing with them and turning them in necessary action with good results. You are someone he can trust to get the job done and he trusts and knows you take good care of the 'company matters' & 'keep them safe'. IP: Logged |

Actually I am getting more things done, and my general pace has increased, but probably so has a bit of an air of impatience now and then.

I like this interpretation. IP: Logged |
