Hi,

I did not want to derail RAS thread, but I found it VERY interesting what you said about the 8th harmonic aspects, semisquare and sesisquare.

Some weeks ago I have done a bit of digging and researching and thinking, and realized how the 8th harmonic aspects is aligned with the Moonphases as well as solar festivals.
http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/219137.html

In the annual cycle of the year, the waxing semisquare would coincide with the solar festival of BELTANE, while the waning sesisquare coincides with SAMHAIN / HALLOWEEN.

I definitely think there is an important interconnection here.

As a matter of fact I was thinking about looking up some sort of symmetrical astrology in my own chart. You know checking for aspects and their midpoint.

(You inspired me to do this as of course the semisquare is at the midpoint of a square aspect; itīs "action" or "integration"-point so to speak).

But I wanted to look at other aspect series as well;
For example my Moon is exactly quinkunx my Saturn, so any midpointing planet would be about 75° or 105° off each (yes, seems I am back at the 24th harmonic again ).

In my case the near midpoint is on 2 Taurus, and my Uranus on 1 Scorpio is oppoing it, and this spans along my 5th (1 Taurus)- 11th (1 Scorpio) - axis!
Another puzzle piece of me. lol

So this means that not only is Uranus on my Moon/Saturn-midpoint, but that it has to aspect both ends of the aspect.
as a matter of fact my Moon-Uranus-angle is 105°46 and my Saturn-Uranus-angle is 104°24.
Yes, it is a minor aspect, but it is within 1 degree orb, making a midpoint configuration, and it definitely falls into the 12th and 24th harmonic series.

Oh I like Sabians,

my Moon:
A Man's Secret Motives Are Being Publicly Unmasked

my Saturn:
The Unfoldment Of Multilevel Potentialities Issuing From An Original Germ

my Uranus:
A Delicate Bottle Of Perfume Lies Broken, Releasing Its Fragrance

my near Moon/Saturn-mp 2 Tau:
Natural Steps Lead To A Lawn Of Clover In Bloom

as a matter of fact I have TELEPHUS at 00 Taurus
A Clear Mountain Stream

if you wonder if the guy in question somehow relate to that midpoint.
not in obvious ways, however his VESTA is on 2°59 Taurus. Same degree as my midpoint

"Natural Steps Lead To A Lawn Of Clover In Bloom"

EDIT:
Interestingly my own VESTA is on 1 Capricorn on my Sun/Venus and mercury/Venus-mp.
It is also conjunct his Moon and MC by 3 degree, and is on the exact antiscion of his Moon and MC. Hm.

We met when Tr Pluto was on 1 Cap conjunct Tr Moon on 00 Cap.

Interestingly this year`s Beltane (yes like NOW) is taking place just one day before the crescent Moon, but in the complimentary phase, we have a waning crescent Moon (int he natural cycle it would be a waxing one - I wonder if that is why this year`s Beltane feels a little like Samhain. lol)

Oh, I'm so glad you did this. I have a real fascination with how it's all put together, and I've never been satisfied with 'it's close enough to' responses for delineations. That, and the 8th Harmonic is just NOT the 4th Harmonic! That's like saying you can interchange psi with omega in an equation. You can't! They're two entirely separate functions which just so happen to be Greek letters and are often related to momentum. But what you DO with them is just so very different.

The fact that the 8th Harmonic has a kind of lunar alignment is so intriguing! I had no idea! It's all so connected, though - the numerology, eclipses, karma, and so on. I wouldn't be surprised.

It DOES! I was having a dream back in February of Hallowe'en, and when I awoke I said, aloud, (which quite freaked me out) 'No, that's Walpurgis Night.' To which I then said ... well, I won't repeat that here. But it started with, 'what' and 'the'.

I cannot TELL you how much it's felt like October for me. God, I was beginning to think that we were somehow back in October for some reason. (That can happen you know. Really, really bizarre, too.) The dreary, wintry, overcast days have not helped send the 'it's not Hallowe'en, silly,' message, either.

Wow. Just, wow.

Yes, me, too.
I get frustrated with the replies of: I feel it so it must be true.

Yes, maybe, but why, WHY?
Because it is just wishful thinking?
Or becvause there is something in the astrological syntax, that we just missed till now?
Can we unlock it? Decipher it? can we USE it consistently?

I also think that this is one of the reasons we HAVE to take the declinations into consideration. This little research made me realize that (cause the quarter festivals really have more to do with the declinations than longitudes; for the equinox and solstice it does not matter, as declinations and longitudes are both at turning poitns).

". That, and the 8th Harmonic is just NOT the 4th Harmonic!"
No, but the intriguing thing is, that the 8th harmonic INCLUDES the 4th harmonic.
Maybe it is like going from a more physical dimension to more subtle dimensions?

Actually the 4th and 8th harmonic work together, they have the same directions, even though the 8th uses two other vehicles, too.

You can`t really compare the 4th to the 3rd harmonic thouh. No common ground at all (except the conjunction which is not even really an aspect, but a condition)

"the numerology, eclipses, karma, and so on. I wouldn't be surprised."
Yes, also makes me remember how we cannot overstate the importance of Sun, Moon, nodal axis, Vertex and angles.
It all comes back to Sun, Moon and Earth in a very basic way (what to do with Black Moon Lilith? She is also derived from the relationship of these three.)

Lol
But yes, I felt the same. So autumnlike, so much like Halloween. Strange.
