This was a general card reading - looks pretty good, but just wanted to get confirmation, and see how the cards were read together. King of Pents - World - Emperor When I got the cards I thought directly related to my career. But as a sidebar, I've been getting a lot of Kings and then that Emperor too, wanted to see if anyone got a romantic love interest feel? General advice appreciated. Thanks in advance! IP: Logged |

My relationship with the Tarot cards is mainly, intuitive... So, in this case since you were the one to pull the cards and the fact that it's a general reading, could imply many possible scenarios.
Love wise (that was my first impression, so I'll give a go on that version), you will be meeting someone with traits of the KoP and it will be a complete relationship, with all the beautiful things that come with romantic/love relationship.On the other hand, either he will change his attitude at one point, turning to the Emperor or someone else will turn up.

A very grounded, strong man. Mature. Sure of himself, to the point that you sometime may have to stand your ground. He may be determined and persistent.
not a dreamer at all!But if that is in terms of romantic relationship, I see it as possibly a very realistic, stable one. Not the hint of illusion or deception or overly dreaminess. Sounds good to me for the most part. Thanks Venia and Ceri! And will draw a clarifying card next time. Do you always draw a clarifying card? Or are there more suitable times then others? I'm still learning so your input is super insightful. Sometimes I can intuit other times I can't. It's a mixed bag - need to practice more, methinks. Also, is there anywhere you recommend about card combinations? I have found very little reading material online. THANK YOU!!! IP: Logged |

Hey Imeanj, I would still like to know your exact question, but I'm assuming you asked what the general influences in your life are? I agree with you first impression. This is all about the material world and you finding your place in it. You seem to have created a solid base for yourself and coming into your own power even more. I feel you know what is it is you want and are taking the appropriate actions to be in full control of your life path. You now have the abilities to take the qualities you already have and apply them with even more precision. Career related, yes, but I would like to draw a broader picture. You have the skills and focus to obtain other goals also and you are slowly building towards that. Good cards! Is there a process (or skills/study perhaps?) you are in the midst of finishing? Thanks Twirl. That's essentially what I got for myself. It was a general reading...I've been working on my career and not focused on much else as of late.But yesterday, I was asking about a past relationship - two separate readers - and I got two kings in one reading and the other reader also got a number of kings or emperor like (different cards) - http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum11/HTML/006907.html So when I got this, I wondered. I'm pretty new to tarot, but not to astrology and divination so I know not to ask too much. This will be the end of it for the time being. Hi Yes, this was about career. I looked at the other reading, but quite frankly I would ask a new question like: what is for store for me in regards to my love life. The cards can then be more specific. Think of a time period of 6 weeks - 2 months when you put those cards down.

Thanks Twirl - I will. I am finding a wide interpretation for tarot - and am finding double meanings often. Like this one above, I think it relates to career but it is also relevant to my love life - in some ways it is intertwined for me. But am learning, so good to get feedback especially on how to ask questions. Could you explain though - why you draw clarifying cards, specifically, in regards to timing? Hey, It's about the combinations. Meanings are always wide, but the card combinations will 'speak' to you when you start working with it. Then there is also the difficulty in reading for yourself, because we like to see what we want to hear.
Clarifying cards are drawn for getting a clearer picture. That is the question asked on top of 1 card (or the whole spread). Questions will then be: 'Can I get a clearer picture on card X (how must I read it). Or for spread: 'From which angle should I read the cards?'
Everyone uses methods that fit him of her. My time frame is around 6 weeks for smaller spreads.
Timing can be done in a lot of different ways (for example using astrological correspondences or looking at the elements in the cards and connecting them to seasons).

Hi Imeanj, Yes, I would say he does, but he is trying to control them for some reason (not outwardly showing it that much). Were you involved with this person before? For you, seems you are also moving forward. What was your exact question about your ll? My impression now is that you left the part where it wasnt quite working out for you behind (in regards to your love life/even though I am under the impression that you did try) and are now open to love and also 'determined' to be successful in love. Thanks Twirl as always. We have liked/known each other for awhile - I was involved with someone else and he was hinting and I told him that I thought he wasn't interested and that's why I started seeing someone else. But the other person and I broke it off awhile ago, I have not told him though. How do you read that he is controlling himself - is that the Emperor? I was getting him being the Emperor when I started this thread. I guess I want to know how he feels? There are others out there and as you've picked up on, but this is the most developed and he has really goes out of his way to make me feel special. Also, I feel that this relationship will open new doors and help me manifest/potential who I am - where as, the relationship I left not as much. Someone similar would also do. This is how the emperor is as a person though. He will go out of his way to make you feel special, but you have to look for it in his gestures. That's how he expresses himself. He is a man of the mind when he controls his country, so same for love. That doesn't mean he is not feeling anything (especially when all the cups are showing, good cards!), because as with his country (empire), he deeply cares for the well being of it. So the same would apply for his lover. He is not comfortable with the wishy washy approach to love (I miss you so, no but I missed you more!) If this makes sense to you. He is a stable and serious type who you will be able to depend on. Think of the sign Taurus and of their trades in love and I think you'll get a good picture. To sum it up that's why he 'controls' his emotions, but when you look at how he acts it might give you a better picture Hope this was clear enough I didn't read back the thread before, but yes, the emperor again Enjoy your time together! I was going to ask what the exact question was, because I thought you needed to define it to get a clearer answer. Also I wrote emperor is Taurus, silly mistake, he is compared to Aries officially. BUT: I see a lot of Taurus traits in his behaviour (and for me he comes across as one). So the explanation I gave still stands. Especially in regards to feelings.
Did he arrive in time? New flight? Edit: just popped in my mind, not sure if it is correct: could it be that in the past you have not been completely honest about your feelings about this man towards yourself? You feel it now, but if 'nothing happens' you are inclined to let it (him/how you feel about him) go again and just move on. That is a choice however... We can always choose if we want another outcome.

Okay, missed flight - no new flight. Too hectic. We ended up chatting all night instead. I am at his house still, leaving tomorrow...he tried to get me to meet him in another country/city on Sunday, but I am a bit under the weather and exhausted.So I wanted to clarify further what the situation was I got Priestess - Ace of Cups (again!) - 6 of swords. What gives?? So you are saying, I really have to go for it? I think he's testing me to be honest...

Hi, I remembered the cards you posted and it occurred that they might have come up for you personally (broad question asked). Look at the 6 swords = leaving it behind in a 'never mind' way, but still taking things unspoken with you. But you will be calm and at ease with it. Put some cards down on what his intentions towards you are on a romantic level.
Why do you feel he is testing you? Edit: emperor is a serious man but he would want things on his terms... He wants to be in control of the situation. He is a rather traditional man. IP: Logged |

Hi, so how are things today?
For the cards you received yesterday. I think his intentions are quite clear in a way of wanting you. I'm getting the feeling of a reunion, which he wants to lead to a more serious commitment. So for him there is not only physical attraction (which there clearly is and that bodily pleasures is one of his intentions), but I think that for him you come very close as what/who he wants as a serious lover.
So again, I think you should go for what your gut says on this.

Getting strong hits of stuff, but I can't tell if its wishful thinking or intuitive (though when I first met him there was a lot of this type of energy around.)
