Okay, you need to be a bit more clear who HE is. We need to assign a house to HIM. Is he an ex, a lover, a brother, a neighbour, a love interest, a friend, a son, name it. You have more than 2000 posts, you should know that a bit of explanation goes a long way.

Actually despite my high post count I'm a total novice with Horary Charts.

He is a love interest.

EDIT: 2000+ posts indeed! wow...I haven't noticed my post count already!

It looks like he doesn’t mind talking to you , but as it is a love interest I looked as well at the seventh house, and than I don’’t see much connection in that area. It might just stay with a superficial contact. The ascendant is late, which might indicate that deep inside you know the answer,
Both your secondary significators are on critical degrees, Venus and the Moon, so there is not much control over the matter from your side. Is he single? Pisces intercepted and Neptune in seven, not sure about his motives. His significator Saturn is Retrograde and in the Via Combusta.
Your Moon is going to make a sextile to Jupiter , his secondary significator, but Jupiter in detriment, but as the moon is on a critical degree, and it is not his main significator, I doubt that much will develop in the romance department.
To sum it up, I can see contact, but romance wise I think it is going to be difficult.

I'm definitely not a horary expert, I've never tried really, but the 5th house ruler (love interest) in that chart is Jupiter... Not Saturn. So wouldn't we look to Jupiter? Which forms a nice little stellium with POF, Venus, and Mercury.

I wish I knew more to help Jessica

I just didn't want somebody to make the same mistake as tofu..and maybe they'll come back and re-read with the correct significator for him..

No mistake.

Saturn rules the 7th house, of the significant other or love interest.

There are two factions:
One uses the 5th house for representing a crush or lover, the other doesn`t.

And then the original ruler (saturn) is used as the significator? Not Uranus? Can I ask why that is? Or is it a preference thing?

Jess: Sorry for using your thread as a learning tool...

@Lionfish

That's okay

I already know the answer to my question TBH. I know he wants ME to talk to him. I wanted to know a little bit more about how horary works too

In horary the traditional rulers are being used.
It is one of the most rule-oriented astrological method, and the rules have been delivered from the medieval ages, which might be a reason for that.

Thanks Ceri I haven't really studied horary too much. I've never even had a horary read, honestly. I posted one a week or so ago, but I deleted it, not wanting to spoil any surprises on my trip. There's so much info here on LL that it's hard to take it all in sometimes, but I've been really interested in horary and tarot lately, so thank you for that tid bit

It makes sense to use the rules that were set if they work. If it's not broken, don't fix it

I wonder if it's because the inner planets have more affect on what goes on day to day as to why the traditional rulers are used.

Well, if you have no experience in horary then you shouldn't accuse me of making mistakes. I can take criticism from people with more experience , that is only helpful, but your post comes across as very ignant to say the least. Do a course somewhere before you decide to respond again, might be better.

Tofu, chill.

Lionfish didn't mean any disrespect. She was only trying to help me.

BTW,yes, I knew the answer to my question already. I wanted to learn about Horary. Say the person wants me to contact him, how would you go about interpreting a horary in that sense?

No need to be rude. I wasn't. I was thinking you didn't see that the 5H started in Sag, not Cap because of the beginning of your post saying you "looked at the 7H as well." My fault for assuming that you were talking about the 5H in the first place.
Maybe you should take a course on manners? I even stated I hoped you'd come back...because it seemed like you know what you're talking about, I just thought you didn't see that 5H cusp correctly because it's so close. It wasn't a personal attack on you, so don't take it as one.

Am going to sound like a total ignorant.

What are the traditional rulers in horary?

what if I had asked : does he want me to talk to him?

which house would you look at? which rulers?

Traditional rulers would be for Signs like Scorpio, Aquarius, and Pisces who, before Neptune, Uranus, and Pluto were discovered, were under the rulership of Mars for Scorpio, Saturn for Aqua and Jupiter for Pisces. Venus and Mercury weren't alone in co-rulerships of signs, as is explained here http://www.astro.com/mtp/mtp63_e.htm

^^ Thanks Lionfish

I still can't wrap my head around how a horary chart can predict events since it's not based on the planetary positions of the person. I still don't get it.
