I will start by doing 3, 3-card readings. You will also get a photograph of the cards.

In regards to the meanings, we may have to work through them together - so take it with a grain of salt. I will use the playing card readings from Cafe Astrology.

This is what I got for you. I like the surfer, makes me think of someone going somewhere, the flower is good news too, and the Ace - which is an angry God seems to be reversed, so upside down and not as angry as one should be.

In regards to tarot, this would be Knight of Wands - 6 of Wands - Ace of Swords.

To me this reads as either you or him as the Knight of Wands, but my feeling is more you, and that your travels or going away, is you embarking on a new change for the better. It was a bit spontaneous, backed by the 6 of wands, I say that this decision suited you well. As some would say, because the 6 is here - you can leave your diplomacy behind. In a way you are asking for this reading to see if you did the right thing. In many ways you did - however, make sure your pride or ego is not getting in the way of the things you want. In this case, R - have you done everything you can so he is cared for - so that he has room to reconcile? Is there room for him - if there is not, make sure that you make room for him, if he is what you want. The Ace of Swords suggests that you have what it takes to work it out - you can have what you want. I think someone had a reading the other day on LL and it came up and its funny b/c the Ace of Swords and/or Wands and it seemed that these cards are quite phallic. Anyhow, the point is that the card is a beacon of strength and courage - suggesting you can get what you want, but that you need to be clear about it. Though, it is reversed here so it suggests to me that there is a communication breakdown of sorts - even withholding of affection. If you can somehow remedy that, everything will work out.

So the top two cards fell out as I was shuffling. The second one face down. The 3 of hearts is equivalent to the 3 of cups, which makes me think both of your parents will visit you. The 9 of cups is also the card of hopes and dreams - makes me think that you will somehow make this visit with your parents happen.

Edit: The tower card, reminds me of Aloha Tower, a well known place in Oahu and the ship with the whale makes me think of a journey. A little Moby Dickish but for the most part a good omen.

Now on to the reading...

So the cards I drew were not as positive, so makes me think that sometimes you are your own worse enemy. That is because of your worries, you cause some of your own misfortunes. If you can garner more confidence what you have much good fortune around and can tap into it.

BREAK: I drew a clarification card to see if this was about how it would go when your parents came to visit and got the Ace of Hearts - Ace of Cups, again about wishes and good fortune as well as home and family. Though reversed, to me this is still a very positive sign.

I did this because I went back to your question about how your parents visit was going to go and it seemed to me that it would go well, so that the cards that I drew are about you and not so much their visit.

It seems to me that the cards are saying that you are down on yourself something sad happened - the shark here is kind of scary looking, but that this fisherman comes along and makes it go away. Similar to in tarot - the Knight of Pentacles is like a knight in shining armor. He is reversed here so he won't fix everything, but that the outlook is decent.

Okay, this one just seems really self-explanatory, without even referencing tarot or playing cards. Things are not looking good for this brown haired lady, there is a volcano and an upside down version of paradise. I am hoping that the brown haired lady is not you! And maybe someone else he is seeing right now - is that possible?

I am feeling like I have to stop here - so little_pumpkin we can talk further in depth about this later if you would like, I can go back and look at what I am getting Tarot wise. The playing cards interpretation below seems decent though - i.e. Volcano seems to mean transformation more than anything else. And the reversal seems that you or whoever this woman is will keep a depressed person away, which is good news. Let's talk further tomorrow. Night!

This is what I got for you reading - I tried reading before, but there seemed to be a block, so I thought to take a break. i.e. I kept on pulling cards and it didn't seem right somehow, like something else was involved that didn't want me to read or something. I might be projecting, who knows!

So I started anew. And this 7 of spades fell out and I don't like water snakes, it felt a bit treacherous. The reading in regards to love would be that if whatever you are feeling - suspicious or having negative thoughts, etc - talk to that person about it - don't be passive aggressive, have the courage to talk to them - because if you don't passive aggression or hurt feelings or whatever is going on will only get worse and grow. This way there is a possibility of salvaging the situation or making it better rather than worse - even though that may not seem like the case. Does this make sense?

The other cards I drew were 9 of diamonds, 9 of spades, and 2 of diamonds. So that would be the 9 of pents, 9 of swords and the 2 of pents. Of these cards the 2 of pents jumps out as the need for there to be balance - seems to work with the 7 of spades, i.e. in order for whatever to work there needs to be a balance between two partners. I don't know if that's in regards to your current situation or future situation, but regardless balance is key. Its not that you shouldn't be to giving, but just make sure you are receiving too?

Okay, so back to the cards, personally, I always like flying fish and here there are three of them, though the 9 is reversed, somehow this card seems auspicious to me, like there will be movement and a group of people. some type of fun. But then there will be a shark - eek! But it all turns out okay, because you are going to go to Maui. I think what's interesting here is that its not just Maui, you get to go to Lanai and Kahoolawe too. Again, this theme of three. So first off, my gut feeling when reading for you was yes you will go traveling, but my thought was - hey how is she going to get there? And guess what? Dude pounding poi jumped out. King of Pents - I am unsure if its literal if someone will sponsor you a boss, friend or love interest, but looks like someone is looking at for you and will help you somehow.

Then, we have surfer dude, bongo drums, and a nice beach with a tree. I'd say you are going on a trip for fun.

Once I saw the surfer, all I could think was that you must of saw this in one of the readings yesterday and just wanted a surfer in your reading.

Anyhow, so that would be the Knight of Wands, 4 of Swords, and the 5 of Wands. So yes, looks like you will be in for a trip because its combined with the 4 of Swords, I'd say that this will be a vacation - there's this feeling of passive activity if that makes any sense? Then finally with the 5 of wands, suggests to me that playfulness is possible as well, so even possibly with friends or you will meet friends on this trip?

These cards are pretty cool, and I got a pretty good laugh picturing myself going to all those islands The past three readings I've had in regards to my love life have all had the common theme of "balance". The interesting thing is that when I asked the question a few weeks ago, I was asking about a long-time friend of mine.. not the same guy I happened to have in mind when I asked my question to you last night. Now that I look back on that reading, it seems like his energy may have surfaced there or something because Ennony's interpretation seems to match what happened between N and I better than what occurred with my friend A. Is it possible for that to happen?? In the case with N, I was the one whose feelings were hurt and ended up retreating.. I told him to kick rocks a little over a month ago, but he contacted me a week ago and things have been mostly patched up between us. That could relate to the water snake thing since I still have some lingering issues in regards to what happened.

Anyway, I think it'll take some time and some more development for me to fully understand what your reading is saying, but I will definitely keep the thing about "balance" in mind, and will also open my mouth to let this guy know what's going on. I'll likely see him next week, so maybe that will be a good time.. we shall see!

Glad the reading resonated somewhat. I'm wondering (if I read again sometime) it might be good to ask separate questions about each guy.

For me personally, I have a hard time asking specific questions. And am finding that when I ask specific questions, I get specific answers. i.e. the Universe wants to give you what you want, but you have to be clear to it about your wants and intentions.

Silly as it seems, have you read that book the Secret? Super cheesy but it suggests that when we say I do not want that. One ends up getting what one does not want, because of the not. Somehow when one is telling the Universe I want that - because the Universe does not see the not, so even in words one must be positively affirming things constantly...

I love that you just mentioned that book because I have actually read it and am still consciously applying it to my life! I happened to be referred to that book by an old friend of mine, and ended up finding it sitting in the room I was in while talking to him on the phone.. talk about coincidence! haha
I've been trying my best to practice the law of attraction ever since, although I do slip up from time to time. I don't know if you know anything about Saturn returns, but I am in the middle of my first one, so my mind has been a little muddles lately, and things have been somewhat chaotic.. this has just made it a little harder for me to really narrow down what I want. I will specify my questions, wants, needs, etc to help the situation.

It might help if you'd like to do one for each guy in the future, but as I type this I know that I am more emotionally invested in a romantic relationship with one more than the other. My friend A isn't at the point that I need a guy to be at with me right now, and I don't think he will be for quite some time.. so maybe better to keep him as a friend, just like he's always been.
