My friend asked how she'll recognise her next great love

3 swords came up twice.

I don't know what to tell her. I wish her well too much to want her to get involved with someone miserable and broken-hearted. As you know I despise broken-hearted guys very much, so I don't know what she's gonna think! I don't want to give her rubbish news until I realise it's really rubbish

Is there any chance that 3 swords means another thing?

the first time it was QoS - Priestess - 3 swords

the 2nd time King of Pents - 4 wands - 3 swords

I really don't want her to end up with some miserable rejected misfit

Help much appreciated and thanks in advance

Hi AS,
To me, this could simply mean that they will both bond over similiar past experiences that did not ends well? Maybe at some sort of singles outing or support group?

Hey cheers for replying

Past suffering is not a good common ground is it? I'm just having a hard time imagining this type of scenario, lol. Not cool, is it?

Well, they could bond this way....which will help heal, and perhaps from a relationship going forward. Does not always have to be negative!

Well a broken hearted man is disgusting, let's be honest no cool seductive charismatic guy could ever end up broken hearted, this kind of thing just doesn't happen.

Besides, don't you reckon miserable people are sort of.... second rate compared to those who are more or less "alright"? Second rate will remain second rate.

I just don't want to tell her she will end up with someone undesirable and second rate, that's all.

PS what is a singles outing?

Well just because someone has had their heart broken does not make them any less desirable or charismatic! And certainly, not second rate!
Sometimes things just don't work out, you know?

Singles outing: Where people who are unattached go to maybe connect with someone.

Well anyway..... I just have a massive aversion for loneliness/ broken hearts, so maybe my standards are biased. Lonely miserable people should remain lonely, so they don't create problems for others

When I saw that card I almost started throwing up, so there's nothing I can do, the nausea haunts me still. I can't imagine a scenario in which a cool guy could end up miserable, broken hearted etc. this is the most implausible thing in the world

Well, since you ask I didn't get dumped or anything. I have never been dumped in my whole life. I just sort of failed to give him as much affection as he needed and went to another city to live. So then he ende up rotted away by some tawdry junkie who can't spell. If my heart was ever broken it wasn't broken by anyone. It just broke my heart to lose my lover to a toxic lifestyle. It broke my heart he doesnt exist anymore. So that would appear kinda different to anyone with common sense I hope, so I'm not like your average dumped crybaby, if that's what you wanted to call me no way, I'm too cool for that

So I can't really see why I should feel no aversion for all those poor dumped wretches.

Well if tragic stories amuse you I'd recommend Sophocles as well, I guarantee that you'll totally laugh your head off
