To answer your question, I think it could go both ways - friendship or romance.

Definitely friendship (and that's not a bad thing), as his Sun, Mercury, Jupiter, and Chiron are all in your 11th house (the house of friendship). I would think that you would feel very friendly toward him. You may feel very happy around him. His Sun is also opposite your Pluto, which could either strengthen those feelings or create a push/pull. In addition, your ASC falls in his 11th house, which could mean he sees a friend in you.

Your Moon falls into his 8th house, which tells me that if there isn't already some emotion flowing between the two of you, the potential for an emotional connection is there. The Moon is all about emotion, and the 8th house is ruled by Scorpio - very intense!

Your Venus falls in his 12th house. I think this placement has the potential to be healing or transformative. I also think that 12th house energy begs for some maturity between the two partners; otherwise, it could be problematic because the 12th house deals with secrecy, etc. There could be a deep connection between the two people, or on the flip side, maybe one would feel like their privacy was invaded.

I also noticed some angle action in that your MC is in his 7th house, and his Neptune is in your 7th house.
