I happened to come across this man (rather, he came across me) and, because I am lately starting to actually educate myself about astrology, I decided to compare our birth charts (which are as follow)

Venus 03°29' Leo
Mars 08°16' Leo
Jupiter 10°25' Leo
Saturn 06°17' Aquarius
Uranus 12°48' Capricorn
Neptune 16°08' Capricorn
Pluto 18°01' Scorpio

His:
Sun 00°55' Aquarius
Moon 13°15' Libra
Mercury 06°45' Aquarius
Venus 14°10' Sagittarius
Mars 09°05' Aries
Jupiter 21°14' Pisces
Saturn 17°29' Sagittarius
Uranus 24°44' Sagittarius
Neptune 06°27' Capricorn
Pluto 09°42' Scorpio

I noticed that we have our Sun, Mercury, Venus and Leo (Neptune and Pluto too but that's probably because he's only 4 years older) in signs of the same element.
My moon is in an earth sign (Taurus) but if I wasn't premature by two days, it would have been in an air sign (Gemini) like his (which is in Libra). My rising sign is Sagittarius, I don't know his. This is probably not even slightly important but I don't know, I found it interesting.

Does having so many planets in signs of the same element effect in any way? I am only curious. I haven't found such similarities between my chart and another's. Maybe it's nothing but after pondering for the longest time I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask for help in understanding.

You two have lot of things going on.

Gemini Sun can understand Aqua Sun pretty well but it won't have too much influence as it your Sun does not trine his Sun.

Your Mercury in Gemini trines his Mercury in Aqua. The communication between you two must be great.

Your Saturn conjunct his Sun and Mercury. He may feel like you create some limitations for him in expressing himself fully. You will be the person who provides the stability in relationship.

Your Venus in Leo does not make any aspect with his Venus is Sag so it being in the same sign does not have much influence over the relationship.

His Venus trines your Mars and Jupiter. Venus trine Mars creates physical attraction and Venus trine Jupiter gives you luck in relationship. He may find you cheerful.

His Mars in Aries trines your Leo Venus, Jupiter and Mars. This also creates physical attraction between you two. You two may have great mutual understanding at least on physical level.

Your Moon squares his Sun sign, it may create some misunderstandings between you two. He may not understand your emotional side and you may have some problem with his identity.
But it's the orb is pretty wide so it does not have much effect and you can easily resolve the misunderstandings between you two.

Off-topic: Your Gemini sun is quincunx your Pluto. Do you feel some tension about whether to remain open or be secretive? Quincunx gives great determination and will-power but you will have to make some adjustments.
