I was wonder if anyone can do a reading for me on a work trip I'm taking next week? What to expect?

I'm a little nervous to be away by myself - any insight would be much appreciated.

I can offer an angel card reading in return!

Hey Peach

I put some cards down for you, but may I ask if you are your normally a tad prone to being homesick? And/or are you one for over romanticing situations in general?

In general my impression is that in the beginning of this trip you will find it a bit difficult/feel a bit nervous & might think 'I want to go home'. This mostly has to do with inner anxiety & missing what you are comfortable with, but you'll get with the program & decide to just go along (this is also my advice in regards to this. Just see it as something that's coming&going without resisting it much - it seems the work program/schedule is rather busy/cramped). After you 'surrender' to that idea, you'll keep the balance. So overall I think you'll be fine, but it doesn't feel like a 'hooray! I wish I can do this every day of my life'-time. You do seem to learn quite a lot of new approaches/ideas and I think it will make you more confident in future when you have to attend certain things/events. It learns you to go with the flow.
Hope this helped

Happy birthday Peach in advance. Hope you'll have a blast!

I pulled cards for you too.

I think things will be fine except that it will not prevent you from fretting a little bit about it all since I believe you view it as a little disturbance in your routine. But I believe you will surprisingly enjoy yourself and may be meet new people. So it's looking quite positive!

Thank you guys. Both of your readings make sense, knowing me. I'm anxious about going away alone and forgetting something. I will be able to provide more feedback the end of this week

Thank you again

Hi
Saw the other thread.

Would you mind updating?
And did you actually got ill during the trip?
I had the 9 swords in your spread, but this might have come up for actually being sick.

Thanks

it was pretty weird - when i was on the trip.. it did take me a little minute to adjust but then i did and then felt guilty because with all the meals with coworkers and work itself - i felt like i was neglecting my boyfriend/friends/and family. this is the second week in a row i only had one day off (i traveled again today but only for the day) this used to be common for me. i think a part of myself was just mad i was doing this again. i feel like i can get taken advantage and feel bad saying no. i learned to decline and have a good balance for work and social life but i feel it snowballing into my old habits. i used to have no life other than work - it was no way to live.

astrologically speaking i have a virgo south node in the 10th house so i think this speaks to my tendancy towards work addiction. i don't think i feel that way now - just stirring up old feelings of when work consumed my whole life and where i chose to live, etc.

on another note - i have a pretty solid immune system. the only times i seem to catch something, even a cold, is when i travel away from my hometown for a period of time. i get sick as a dog. i am starting to feel regular now. (sorry it took so long to get back) but i seem to be pulled to travel AGAIN for work in the upcoming weeks, ugh.

it just drains me. i did get offered a promotion when i was there. probably worth mentioning

Thank you Peach
I'll restudy your cards. This has given me a greater insight already.
The card that feel out was: 6 cups RX - which made me ask of feeling homesick.
Then I received 9 swords - hanged man - 2 swords.

Anxiety/guilt is tied to the first card.
I don't really see the promotion in there (possibly in the 2 swords though).
I did ask what you would get out of it (because it felt like a so-so week) & I received the Fool. That might have also related to promotion.
The Hanged Man obviously relates to feeling you are "surrendered" to the will of the company. And that you'll 'have to do this'. But going along with it (2 of swords) in some sort of balance. But the 2 of swords psychologically is just "swallowing it", often to avoid a conflict/thinking it is best to look for balancing two sides.

I understand your difficulties with work- life balance. I'm very similar. Possibly also because you give your all when you are focusses on something?? And if you have those same 'Neptune problems' as I have, isn't it really hard to quickly switch between different areas?
The guilt is difficult to tackle, but it's no use feeling that way, because you chose to do one thing & you are there then anyway. Maybe that helps to tell yourself. "Sticking with the desicion" when you are there. Might as well go with the full ride.

Maybe you can try to think of what would be acceptable for you and discuss that with your manager?
Congratulations with the promotion btw!!
& thanks for the update!
