Hey folks,

I'm going to take just a few minutes of your time just to shout out this announcement.

As you are aware this forum is FOR free readings of any kind, measure and size.

There are wonderful readers here, people who are generous and kind to give free quality readings.

However, as you know it is human nature to want to take advantage of that. So watch out for it.

Please feel free to contact me if you spot anything of the kind especially trolls. I do my best to read all the threads.

Also I will suggest that if you have given someone a reading and if that person requests another reading on the same issue in a different newly created thread, please TRY to link the previous one ( that is the one where you've given them a reading) to the new one so that other readers know that you have given them a reading. It could well be very difficult suggestion to entertain since there are so many threads created here but I just wanted to shout it out here.

Thank you

thank you so much, this is great! I already noticed a reference you put on another thread and it did help me stop from reading the chart for her. people do tend to ask again and again in a different way. are you a new mod for this section? if so, this is a great help, thank you :-)

Hi Jessica,

Nice to see you bubbling with desire to improve things

I'm just not really clear as to what is wrong with asking the same question to two different people, huh? It is up to everyone to decide, surely? I wouldn't want to be a mod on a board that limits users in more ways than reasonable.

We don't want to end up like Brigit from biddy with her idiotic system. Freeloaders do not realise the kinda lengths readers go to so what? I am a hater of any form of censorship, just saying it would be an insult to me personally if anything.

Plus everyone is different, "intuitive readers" with their readings that don't come true, symbolism bookworms, astrology amateurs/aspiring astrologers, astrology experts - this is all like different, no? Asking the same question to a beginner and a sorta pro - whats wrong w that? It's not like good stuff is on offer every day.

i think she means people who in 'i am offering only 5 readings' and always same names, which is fine....but also same question over and over again.

a while ago i made a thread and asked only people who never had a reading ask. so many people asked those who had a reading before to....and i don't mind but that was a tad selfish, as i got lost with who never had a reading and who did, and you saw how i write, i like to put EVERYTHING there and it is exhausting when you are in a rush.

an understandably upset poster had something to say about that, as she never had a reading, and i had to ask her to wait for a bit.

then i do remember a few months back, i remember someone giving everyone who asked a short quick reading and she just one had question asked tht she wanted to respond to....i checked all the posts (they went for 3-4 pages) and NO ONE answered her back....

so just a bit of balance.

of course nothing wrong with asking the same question twice or something, ask ten times, and the answer will be NO as the energies have been 'killed'...
hmm think will offer another reading to people who've never had readings before but later coming to think about it

Well maybe we have a language barrier then. English is one of the languages in which I'm bilingual. I suggest you explain what I misunderstood.

Otheriwse you shouldn't assume darls. You assumed I can't read or that I didn't read your brilliant opening post. Both of these assumptions are wrong. Juz saying

This is not about asking same readings twice. A reader can choose for whom they want to read. I decided to put this announcement out here following the emails I received.

While I can appreciate how difficult it must be for someone to alert another reader if they feel someone is trolling or requesting readings on the same issue just to upset the readers.

I noticed no trolls to be honest. as for unfilled requests that have zero replies which are allegedly a result of all slots in threads w offers being snapped up by the same users so what? no one is obliged to do anything, things are only done as a gesture of good will if at all.

I often wish I could reserve the right to decline to read for some users, but it's my problem not the forum's

But whatever you say. I'm glad you found fulfilment in performing these duties and admire your enthusiasm

hi there. from my own example... I only read synastry charts on here and people will often post the synastry chart, a few of us will comment, and then a few days later that person will repost the exact same chart with a new thread title asking for help all over again because they didn't like the asnwers or want to ask new questions about the charts. I take it that this new mod will be helping us to avoid things like that by pointing out previous threads where a person does this.

I am tired of individuals willing to undermine me out of a personal dislike for me because no other explanation can possibly exist

If your post is unclear it's because it's unclear not because I can't read

I appreciate it Starmoon.

I had only a few of the readers in mind when I posted this. I wanted to shout it out, you guys can act on it or choose not to Your call.

The person who requested this reading said that it happens to her all the time to fixate on guys and I saw the depth of your readings just wanted you to be aware of it that's all, up to you to choose to do it again or not.

As norain mentioned, there are regulars here who practically never get the chance to be read either tarot or synastries because the spots are already filled by non-regulars. Again, your call to choose to read or not, just a matter of being aware.

Yeah starmoon I more or less understand

The thing is if Jessica wanted to act in a civilised manner she would have emailed all of the other mods of this board to discuss it between us and work out some reasonable strategy to tackle these issues.

Apparently this wasn't done. Now it looks like mods can't even decide between themselves what's best, not professional is it?

I think people repost charts in search of second opinions, there's nothing wrong with seeking them is there? Unless they do it like 10 times. This is what it is, a disjointed forum with free services. The only way of preventin it would be to start charging, second opinion seekers would be far less numerous. At any rate it's up to every expert not to comment when a request is posted

Oh this is not a new rule or anything. Just somethig from my own initiative. Consider this thread as a feeler on the issue. We are gathering ideas. I guess it's a bit the same as reviving TTLG by moving discussion tarot threads to that forum.

I saw your thread on the forum and responded in kind, no I haven't gotten any email before you suggested it on the forum, which I find to be ridiculous in the first place!

I think a minimum of respect should be maintained between members and Mods.

You're going way too far andstuff. Jess didn't do anything wrong as far as I've seen. you just jumped to conclusions.

Ok so we've reached comment no.20 and found out its a suggestion not a definitive change of policy. Since I don't understand anything anymore I wonder why I keep reading this thread...

@Jessica
So there is an objective in undermining me? Not an assumption, just some logical conclusion that requires double checking?

Guideline no.1: calling someone hilarious and citing your amusement is about the worst thing you could do. It comes across as lame and makes you sound as if you were trying too hard. Real undermining calls for a better excuse than stating you're amused. You should be able to come up with a much more dazzling formula that will not allow any reader to suspect you are superior to your opponent

No that's okay silver. We won't make this thread about andstuff. I won't allow it.

This thread is about you guys saying what you think. This is just a feeler on the subject. Members can choose to act on it, or not.

Well ok. If its not rude to say I didnt read the opening post before commenting I wonder what is. Jess has. Previous track record of being condescending and whatnot towards me for no reason at all. Apparently it is ok for everyone to be sarcastic when addressing me? Why? Am I different or special or something ? Am I supposed to humbly nod when being talked down to? Bc "please read above" is condescending and rude.

PS "I think a minimum level of respect should ..." is a funny opening line coming from someone who was über uncivil to vesta literally the other day. I wanted to send you a warning but forgot.

LOL.okay am reading your post again, I missed the last part when I first read it, it happens you see.

well, I think it happens a lot for you since you take synastry requests a lot, that's what I have noticed.

hmmm can I persuade you to read a synastry chart for me?
