Did he move away from your city or was it a long distance relationship? The 9 of Clubs can mean distance, so I'd think this is either physical or emotional, but I'm leaning towards physical in your case. I think that, right now, he's focusing on his career, is pursuing that and don't have much time for thinking about romance. He's being very pratical and letting his head rule his heart. I think he may even have gone back to school and his studies, if that makes any sense.

This, of course, does not mean he won't come back one day, but for the near future 3-6 months, I'd say he won't. He's doing his own thing and keeping busy. Sorry.
