so i used hermetic tarot [the ultimate occult deck bla-bla-bla....] and this is how it looks

present: 2 pents
past: princess of pents
hidden influences: 8 wands
future influences: 5 wands
synthesis: lovers [children of the voice divine]

indeed you have no idea where you stand, which is obvs normal in this situation, most prob you wonder if he only wanted a one night stand or if there is love on the cards. might feel as if you were standing on one of these floating platforms waiting for a boat.

you mentioned he was on the shy/conservative side, perhaps not really willing to give vent to emotions at the very outset, which is summarised by the princess. perhaps things were on the conservative side between the two of you until very recently.

I forgot to say I use my empathic skills to read cards, so I just felt something like a quick surge of passionate feelings, still in their early days. Hidden influences is the kind of position that reflects circumstances having an impact on the situation, it's not about the future. I can
Think of spreads in which this card would mean a short-lived relationship, but well maybe not quite on this occasion.
