Planet Aspects
The Lights: The Sun and Moon
At the time of our birth, the planets (through their configurations and relationships) tell us
something about how things were when we were born. Each planet points to special qualities
within us. Yet, of all the planets, the two most important planets to astrologers are the "lights,"

The Outer Planets
In the previous sections, we have dealt with planets that we can see with our naked eyes. In
general, these planets refer to life as we know and live it and are the so-called historical or
classic planets. Beyond these are three planets that are not visible in the sky and which have
cycles longer than the average human life span. Since they are beyond Saturn or time,
astrologers call them the trans-personal or transcendental planets -- the planets beyond the
physical. One of the ways astrologers learn something about our life beyond time (eternal life)
is through these three outer planets: Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. Here we find information on
how we discover ourselves (Uranus), how we understand and accept these discoveries
(Neptune), and, in time, how we depend and identify with them (Pluto).
Uranus: Break-Thrus & Insights
Our responsibilities can tend to weigh us down, and we each have our particular ways of
getting around (or breaking through) the mass of obstructions that tends to congeal around us.
The planet that has to do with how we get beyond the difficulties and problems life presents us

These include where planets fall by element (earth, air, fire, or water signs), modality (cardinal, fixed, or
mutable signs), or house (angular, succedent, or cadent). Also included are positive and negative (odd or
even) signs. Generally a nice, even distribution is favored, but a preponderance or a lack of any one
flavors a chart in a particular fashion.
Throughout, lack of any element will find the native seeking out those who have extra of the same to
make up for it. Those who lack water tend to be attracted to very emotionally sensitive types, for instance,
which can seem a strange contradiction, since they don't seem to belong together or communicate well.
Similarly, airless types may seek more professorial companions to explain things they don't know and
probably won't understand, anyway. The fireless are often attracted to religion and find themselves
studying the sermon which everyone else knew to ignore in favor of the choir. Earthless are the least
concerned about making up for their lack, and tend to move blissfully ahead, oblivious to their risks --
possibly because they either succeed wildly against the odds, or perish without further ado because of
them.

Fire:
This element concerns inspiration and change, and lots of it makes for
good orators, preachers, singers, motivators, or anything that sets
people on fire and elevates the spirit. Lack of the element may leave
the native unmoved by the usual hype but also not easily stirred when
aspiring to be, as in spiritual quests.
Earth:
This lends solidity and reliability to a chart, keeps your feet on the
ground. A total lack of earth makes for a people who can be extreme
risk takers because they don't really know better. They go where
angels fear to tread, and those same angels bear them up lest they
dash their foot upon a stone -- on a really good day, that is.
Air:
This enables thought and communication, the intellectual side of things.
A lot of air makes for a rather cerebral type, whereas lack of air means
that explaining things may be meaningless. Results, not talk, gut-level
or emotional evaluation may take precedence over logic and careful,
explainable planning.
Water:
This is all about the ability to sense and communicate feelings, and lots
of water makes for emotional types. Lack of water tends to lead to
emotional cluelessness, a problem of not being about to pick up the
usual social cues and unconscious gestures, leading to embarrassment
or faux pas without intending or expecting it.

Cardinal:
Lots of this makes for a very assertive personality, someone who steps
into the breach even if, perhaps, there isn't one. It's great for situations
where independence is a virtue and occasional toe-stepping is not
taken too severely. None at all tends to make for a more retrenched
personality, or one who opts for multiple choice and nuances, not the
first solution that comes to hand.
Fixed:
Lots of this makes people, well, fixed. They take a stance and stand by
it, right or wrong. They make staunch friends, determined fools, but
sometimes repeat themselves too much and have a hard time
recognizing or accepting change. Lack of it makes for a dearth of
follow-through and dependability, inability to stay the course.
Mutable:
Lots of this makes for tremendous flexibility, the ability to take all sides
of an issue and skillfully switch horses in mid-stream. It's all about
nuance and how quickly the multiple elements of a situation change
their qualities. Lack of it tends to make for lack of diplomacy or even an
understanding of the need for it – sometimes lack of manners, simply
for being unable to understand what kind applies to the situation.

Angular:
Planets here are considered stronger, and lots of angularity makes for a
more immediate, forceful presence. None at all tends to create
wallflowers, or at least those who don't jump for the first dance.
Succedent:
Planets here are considered more durable but slower to manifest, and
lots of them make for greater long-term vision and action. Lack of it
leans toward haste or hesitation, people who are on the leading or
trailing edges of the action but not really at the heart of it.
Cadent:
Planets here are traditionally thought to be weaker, or at least less
active compared to other places, and they tend to manifest later rather
than sooner. It's great for fence-sitting and avoiding ill-fated
bandwagons by never actually getting on one or at least getting off fast.
A lack here makes for less flexibility and a certain inability to cover your
back.

Introduction
Grant Lewi (1902 - 1951) is a legendary figure among twentieth century astrologers. He was a
writer and editor for the two largest astrological magazines of the time. His two books, Heaven
Knows What and Astrology for the Millions , were the first astrological books to become best
sellers and even today, over fifty years later, they remain among the best introductions to the
subject of astrology.
The astrological interpretations found in Heaven Knows What and Astrology for the Millions
were unique, fresh, and simple. Llewellyn George, the prominent astrologer of the time, remarked
that Lewi's interpretations must be intuitive because they were unlike any that had been written
before him. Today these interpretations remain energetic and forceful and, though some references
are now dated, Lewi's text still provides some of the clearest insights found anywhere in the
literature of astrology.
Lewi was determined to make astrology more accessible to the average person, but while
popularizing the subject he never watered it down or reduced it to the level found in "sun sign"
astrology. Writing before computers were available, he made his books function as the computer,
providing the reader with tables to generate their own charts or horoscopes and then linking his
interpretations to the information found there. Lewi would have made good use of the computer, so
much in his books seem to anticipate them. In his writing he tried to emulate the interpretation
process by using a computerless version of artificial intelligence: the meaning of a planet in a sign
doesn't stand alone but is modified by the other aspects found in your chart. Many of his comments
depend on a combination of factors and for this reason you will sometimes find that he has
something different to say about an aspect in your chart than he does for the same aspect in your
friend's chart.
This report calculates your chart for you and then collects all of Lewi's comments strictly
according to the astrological factors found there. The text contained here is valid even for those
who don't know their time of birth - Lewi focused on those factors that are in effect throughout the
birthday. The only exception to this is the case of the Moon which can move between 12 and 14
degrees in a day, so if the positions were calculated for noon then the Moon could be as much as 6
or 7 degrees different and possibly even change signs. If you don't know your time and the texts
that involve the Moon seem unlikely, you may wish to compare reports done for the beginning and
the end of the day.
At all times, Lewi’s aim has been to show how astrology can be used as an aid in living a more
satisfying and fulfilling life. Astrology offers indications and pointers - and sometimes insights - to
situations that you find in life. It doesn’t tell you what to do about them, but if it offers you a better
understanding of the situation, then you are in a better position to decide for yourself what to do. To
quote Grant Lewi:
"It is not limitations that eats out the heart, but inaction, the knowledge of powers not used, the
sense of having failed to develop to the utmost. The overcoming of fate is not the overcoming of

limitations: that is impossible. It is the exercise of free will, the assertion of the full self, expanding
to its utmost with the tools at hand, in the circumstances that are set. Astrology, through the
interpretation of the horoscope, assists men to the achievement of their maximum by indicating to
them the lines along which their will may be most progressively applied, the goals to be sought,
and the individual means by which each one may arrive at the outermost boundaries of his world."
Horoscope of Birth
Your horoscope of birth is the blueprint of your personality and character as indicated by the
position of the Sun, the Moon and the eight planets on the date of your birth. This section is
devoted to each of these members of the solar system.
The planets are the antennae and arms of the horoscope, of which the body and soul are the Sun
and Moon. No planet will ever cause you to act counter to the testimony of the Sun and Moon in
their combined influence on you. Remember this when you proceed with the following readings.
All planetary vibration must be considered in light of the basic solar-lunar readings, for these are
your character, your basic nature, which the planets will help or hinder but cannot materially
change.
According to the sign position of your Sun, one planet will be more important than the others
and should probably be read first. Your Sun is in Aries and your dominant planet is Mars. Not only
the action of this ruling planet will be very important in your life, but also the attribute over which
it rules. Thus Gemini, ruled by Mercury, lives a great deal in the senses; Libra, ruled by Venus,
responds most readily to emotional stimuli; and so on. Study your ruler carefully.
Remember in all planetary readings that they work within the pattern of your solar-lunar nature;
never against it. The synthesis of your horoscope from the following series of paragraphs to a
working unit depends on your keeping this in mind, which will enable you to weld all the readings
into a unified and significant whole.
Sun in Aries and Moon in Leo
(You belong to the positive or executive group.)
Romance and an adventuresome attitude combine to make your life interesting. You have a
keen sense of both of these, and a certain loyalty and fixity of devotion and purpose that make you
a good friend, a good sweetheart, and a good business person, despite the fact that you want your
own way and pretty generally manage to get it. You love not only individuals but people as a
whole, and people, feeling this, flock around you and fill your life with the pleasant contacts of
friendship. You need love and affection and generally manage to get it.
This is furthermore a fine executive position, and you are able to manage affairs, both your own
and those of others, to excellent advantage. You are expressive, even eloquent, and may have an
exceptionally fine speaking voice. Ambition is keenly marked and assumes a personal form. You
need success for the gratification of your inner regard for your own ability quite as much as for the

plaudits of the world. This makes you a truly creative spirit, for you create out of a combination of
the head and the heart which touches your work, whatever it may be, with fire, at the same time that
its intellectual content loses nothing. You have a way of making your emotions and your instincts
appear plausible and even inevitable, not only to yourself but to your world, with the satisfying
result that people take you seriously, sensing the underlying soundness of your nature.
The best results will accrue from this polarity of the Sun and Moon because of your Moon
square Saturn.
Sun
The Sun indicates the appearance you will present before the world and the psychological bias
which will dominate your actions. What you seem, and why, are told in the reading for your Sun. In
many ways the Sun is the dominant force in your horoscope and in your life. Other influences,
especially that of the Moon, may modify the Sun's influence, but nothing will cause you to depart
very far from the basic solar pattern. For this reason a whole literature and a whole business have
grown up around Sun-sign astrology; and many people exist who think there is nothing more to the
horoscope than knowing what "sign you were born in" and what the Sun in that sign means. This is
a mistake, as you will discover when you have read the influence of the other bodies. But
throughout your reading, keep in mind always the basic influence of the Sun, and remember that all
other influences must be interpreted in terms of it, especially in so far as other influences play a
visible role in your life. You may think, dream, imagine, hope to be a thousand things, according to
your Moon and your other planets, but the Sun is what you are, and to be your best self in terms of
your Sun is to cause your energies to work along the path in which they will have maximum help
from planetary vibrations.

Aries' great independence is a symptom of vitality and physical energy and becomes
intellectualized later in life, if at all. The highest type of Arian becomes capable of idealizing and
universalizing his love of independence, which has its source in egocentricity. The first ambition of
the Arian is to be first. He is an inveterate contestant, a professional competitor. His object is not so
much the material stake as the glory of winning. He will never boast about coming in second; the
also-rans he beats impress him less than the one fellow who beats him and thus steals his rightful
place at the head of the procession.
Literally as well as figuratively this first-ness shows. Your Arian walks one step ahead of his
companions, goes through doors first, has the first word (and often the last) in any argument. He
loves arguments, not as a means of arriving at truth so much as a means of demonstrating that he
can come out in front. He often wins by sheer noise and vitality - that is, he makes the other fellow
cry uncle. Aries is frequently original in his efforts to be first, and, when not original, is sure to be

novel. Any Arian who doesn't understand the difference between originality and novelty should
study the two words till he does. When an Arian is original he is a pioneer, an inventor, a great
thinker. When he is only novel, he is putting first his ego ideal to be first and neglecting to make his
ideas sound and his methods practical. He thus loses the benefit of his energy, his genius and his
ambition. All the bugaboos of the ego beset the Arian, and he must beware of self-centeredness.
This can make him arrogant, conceited, self-pitying, self-assertive, and in the face of opposition or
restraint can lead to delusions of persecution in mild or acute form. To forget self, to become
absorbed in mental matters, to put ideas first, and to make sure that originality (or novelties) rest on
a sound basis of fact, to see the other fellow's point of view, and to regard the other fellow's needs,
wishes, desires just as seriously as his own are the means by which Aries may emphasize his great
good points, and insure that his desire to be first shall actually cause him to be first.
Following are the aspects to your Sun. In a general way, the trines and sextiles to your Sun
make ease, contentment, happiness, luck; while squares and oppositions give you energy, drive,
success, ambition. Conjunctions bring both energy and luck, and are translatable in terms of
whether the Sun receives squares or trines, along with the conjunction. Similarly, squares and trines
to the Sun together bring success through work and perseverance, and luck develops in proportion
to the work done and the effort extended.
Sun Square Mars Orb: 00°49'
Energy is the keynote of your nature. You have a sort of quivering intensity. You are an
efficient and forceful person driving toward some well-defined goal. Your passional nature in any
case is strong - love, anger, hate, fear: all the personal passions can take strong hold of you and,
unless with a powerful will, can take hold pretty destructively. You can fly into rages, become
absorbed in love, or give yourself up to hating with a whole-heartedness that is in many ways
admirable but which, at the same time, absorbs too much of you. Your approach to things, facts,
and people is strictly personal - you have little capacity for detachment and objectivity, and your
outlook depends entirely on the state of your emotions, on the way people treat you, and on the
status of your private life at the time. Thus you are capable of being a little petty when your
feelings are hurt or you are aggrieved or injured; you don't take a broad view of these things, and
you are capable of being vindictive and revengeful, of holding grudges and "getting even." Mars is

In a man's horoscope, you are a fighter going through life with a chip on your shoulder and a
pretty dangerous fellow to attack. You'll fight like a cornered bull and very often win.
In a woman's horoscope the quarrelsomeness is not so great, though under the surface calm
there's a boiling sea, and it indicates likelihood of emotional psychic involvement through the
father and some ill health too, or difficulty with, the husband. You rule your home - and not always
by subtlety either. You have a way of making men toe the mark which they generally seem to like.

The qualities of luck, energy, magnanimity, and good spirits here are pronounced. The creative

urge is also brought out. You have lots of vitality and optimism, together with a broad, tolerant,
philosophic viewpoint - a sort of hail-fellow-well-met person making friends readily and generally
keeping them. This is an excellent position for business. With your Jupiter conjunct Neptune and
Moon square Saturn you find a successful career of considerable scope and influence. In a
professional or artistic career this insures financial return. No poet with this aspect ever starved in a
garret, or anywhere else, for that matter. You spend freely and convivially, and your abundant
vitality makes it possible for you to keep going for a long time.
Sun Opposite Uranus Orb: 03°53'
You've sown your wild oats - and how! Your intellectual development was a good deal in
advance of your emotional development, and as a result you had ideas, notions, theories, of
independence and of human relations which you put into practice, considerably to the despair of
your elders. You're a liberal in every way, with advanced social, political, and personal ideas.
Individualism is very important to you, and your own ego comes first. As you grow older this
outlook broadens from the purely personal to the more general; you turn from egocentric to
humanitarian, interested in large ideas, large groups of people, social problems in the large. With
your Moon square Saturn, Mercury sextile Venus, and Sun trine Jupiter, your mental outlook is
very inclusive, developing out of a strictly selfish rut into a genuine feeling for humanity. This is
one of the aspects of idealism but on its way to that state it goes through many ramifications. You
have been dejected and depressed and discouraged; probably you've had your share of
unconventional and erratic love affairs. You always tend to be something of a romantic; no matter
how much you control, or how much you learn to translate the personal into the impersonal, an
adventurous spirit keeps gnawing at you. This is the aspect of Ulysses, forever wandering the seas -
even when he's sitting by his hearth with Penelope. This adventurous urge, leashed and controlled
and directed by a sound mind such as is indicated by your Moon square Saturn, Mercury sextile
Venus, and Sun trine Jupiter, will produce works of art, for the creative urge is powerful, with a
touch of inspirationalism. Translate your adventuresomeness to intellectual, rather than
geographical or personal variety, and the world is at your feet.
Your Uranus sextile Neptune gives you a mystic nature. Occultism is interesting to you but
unless with a powerful mentality, dangerous. With your Moon square Saturn, temperament shows
through in love matters.
In any case, you have a periodically explosive temper and must learn the lessons of cooperation
both with the world in general and with individuals. You tend to think that you are right and all the
rest of the world is crazy, which may be true but doesn't make much of a hit with the world.
Moon
While the Sun's position by sign determines what motives and urges dominate your life as it
meets the naked eye, the sign position of the Moon tells the desire of your heart which may or may
not be expressed or realized in your life. When you "know what you mean but you can't say it," it is
your Moon that knows it and your Sun that can't say it. "Thoughts that do often lie too deep for
tears" are the thoughts of your Moon's nature. The wordless ecstasy, the mute sorrow, the secret
dream, the esoteric picture of yourself that you can't get across to the world, or which the world
doesn't comprehend or value - these are the products of the Moon in your horoscope. When you are

misunderstood, it is your Moon nature, expressed imperfectly through the Sun sign, that you feel is
betrayed. When you know what you ought to do, but can't find the right way to do it, it is your
Moon that knows and your Sun that refuses to react in harmony. Also, when you "don't know why I
said that," it was your Moon expressing despite your Sun (if you are innerly satisfied with the
involuntary speech), or the Sun expressing against the will of the Moon (if you are displeased with
what has slipped out). Things you know without thought - intuitions, hunches, instincts - are the
products of the Moon. Modes of expression that you feel are truly your deepest self belong to the
Moon: art, letters, creative work of any kind; sometimes love; sometimes business. Whatever you
feel is most deeply yourself, whether or not you are able to do anything about it in the outer world,
is the product of your Moon and of the sign your Moon occupies at birth.
Moon in Leo
The portrait you paint of yourself is heroic and towers above the world you inhabit. To live up
to the level of your inner picture is a lifetime job requiring energy, courage and considerable sense
of the drama of existence. Private satisfactions are not very important to you; you are less
introspective than most. You want to see the tangible evidence of success, and like it best if the rest
of the world can see it, too. You are a bit of a show off, but since you are utterly honest with
yourself, you can laugh at your own vanities, even when they remain important. You want valuable
possessions, well-groomed children, good clothes, accomplishments and evidences of
accomplishment that others can applaud. Your desires are basically simple, and your methods of
getting them direct; you know what you want and are willing to make sacrifices for them. You
won't sacrifice personal integrity, however, or honor, which are the intangibles that do matter to
you. Education, culture, art, music, however, matter less. You can take 'em or leave 'em alone; and
ten to one, if you do take 'em, it isn't because they really feed your soul, but because you think
evidence of such a soul will in some way add to your prestige. Throughout your life you will strive
to fulfill an image of yourself which is less a portrait than a statue dominating the landscape of your
life by its size, its beauty, the dramatic quality of its setting and the colorful beauty of its trappings.
And in becoming this statue you are likely to become a lot of other more spiritual things which you
don't even desire and which are added to you because of the honest workmanship that goes into
your self sculpture.

clear-thinking; and to the squares and oppositions to provide you with concentration and driving

Moon Trine Sun Orb: 04°02'
This adds an element of luck to the life and will tend to strengthen any good, or minimize any
evil, that may be indicated by the rest of the chart. It inclines to a strong, sound body and an ability
to take the ups and downs of the world in your stride. While it will not negate in any large degree
the difficulties of the powerful aspects, it will cushion the blow, give you internal resilience and
external poise, as well as an elastic power to bounce back to normal from any personal or economic
difficulty.

Moon Square Saturn Orb: 01°28'
This is perhaps the most powerful single aspect you can have in a horoscope. It gives both
ambition and the ability to concentrate on it. You are serious-minded, at times changing to moody,
depressed, and dejected; but as you grow older an early tendency to fall into the doldrums gradually
disappears as your mind becomes organized into a smooth-running unit driving always toward a
well-defined goal. Whatever your physical energy may or may not be, your mental and psychic
energy is high and well directed. You do not waste yourself in profitless ventures or very much in
nerves, anger, or displays of temperament; these belonged to your early years, and you learned as
you grew older the futility and waste which such displays involve. Your greatest asset is your
ability to learn by experience, for though you have made many, and probably great, mistakes, your
self-knowledge is your salvation. At the bottom of the pit of depression or despair or error, you are
able to look yourself squarely in the face and start building your way back to where you want to be.
You have an inner drive and a sense of your own worth amounting almost to a neurosis, which you
are able to express on the constructive side. Psychologically this marks you as somehow
extraordinarily influenced by one or both parents. Thus, in whatever field you choose to operate -
business, the professions, or the arts - you have the jump on competitors who are not assisted by the
mental energy and the psychological drive of this aspect. Although determined and apparently
ardent in emotional matters, you are capable of being pretty cold when it suits your purposes.
Nothing personal is allowed to interfere with the main stream of your intentions once youth is past
and your purposes are set. Prior to this, in youth, this aspect gives a hectic emotional life, and you
may be the despair of yourself and your friends and relatives. Through excessive independence you
hurt your parents; through erratic action, your sweethearts. But as you mature, these temperamental
qualities fall away. What has happened goes deeply into your consciousness; and your fund of
experience, falling under the scrutiny of an analytical mentality, contributes to that knowledge of
the world, of people, and of yourself which becomes the cornerstone of your success. The power of
this aspect is so great that with any encouragement from any other aspect, it will produce success
along some line or other. Its genius varies according to other indications. You have genius in
business. Your genius is creative, dramatic, or poetic.
This is a more powerful position in a male than in a female horoscope, though in either case its
significance is marked. The psychological bias is toward the mother and thus operates more
constructively in men than in women. In men this aspect tends to some unhappiness in marriage,
less the fault of the wife (who usually proves an admirable balance wheel) than of the
psychological complexity of the man. Maturity brings more happiness, as this aspect steadies down.
In women, in addition to producing the admirable mental qualities indicated, it may also tend to
poor health, self-pity, and, in extreme cases hypochondria.
Moon Sextile Uranus Orb: 07°55'
There are dash and vitality here, preceding from an alert, quick mind, eager for knowledge,
absorptive, and magnetic. You are able to see all sides of any question, from the other fellow's
viewpoint as well as from your own; this makes you tolerant and intelligent, a good listener, a fair
opponent in a detached intellectual encounter. You are capable of a good deal of mental objectivity;
large ideas appeal to you, and you can think abstractly. Artistic and intellectual matters interest you,
as well as social and political ideas and theories; but on these matters there is so much tolerance
that you have difficulty making a firm stand for your opinions, and unless some other aspect shows

decisiveness, this may be a debating-society position, under which things are talked out and mulled
over and few decisions arrived at. Learn to see all sides, and then choose one and stick to it, and
remember that too much tolerance and understanding of the other fellow's opinions amounts to
having none of your own. You have advanced ideas, in theory, and may talk like a radical straight
from Moscow; but you are little likely to put these into practice in your own life. This is one of the
positions of the Parlor Pink, who talks a good revolution but doesn't get around to doing very much
about it.
Mercury
Mercury is the sense-impression antennae of your horoscope. His position by sign indicates
your reactions to sights, sounds, odors, tastes and touch impressions, affording a key to the attitude
you have toward the physical world around you. Mercury is the messenger through which your
physical body and brain (the Sun) and your inner nature (the Moon) are kept in contact with the
outer world, which will appear to you according to the index of Mercury's position by sign in the
horoscope.
Mercury in Taurus
You are eye-minded; that is, you get your maximum sense contact with the world through sight
rather than through sound. You get more from reading a book than from hearing a lecture. Silent
movies are almost as good for you as talkies. Since what you see is important, you will always
strive to make your surroundings as attractive as possible, and for this reason your home, or your
office, will have some beauty about it even when it gets disorderly. Touch is well developed, and
you visualize through your fingers - get an image in the dark of something touched, know how a
fabric will look by feeling it - and conversely, how it will feel by looking at it. Taste and smell are
fairly well marked, and hearing worst of all. You can shut out sound from your life ant live calmly
through a hurricane or the squawking of children that would drive others to distraction. You don't
hear the sound of your voice accurately, and sometimes sound like you don't feel for this reason.
Study elocution, and learn to pay attention to what meets your ears.
Mercury Sextile Venus Orb: 05°37'
Idealism is manifest, and also a leaning to the arts, either on the creative or the appreciative
side. With your Sun square Mars and Sun opposite Uranus these tendencies may become creative
activity. You may have friends among clever and intellectual people. You may marry someone
from this group, for your affections are much bound up in your opinion of the loved one's
mentality. You have a good deal of charm of manner, wit, and gayety to your speech, and probably
have a very pleasant speaking (and perhaps also singing) voice. You don't shout even when you're
angry, and you have a persuasive manner that wins people over. This is therefore good for
salesmanship or the professions where personal contacts are of paramount importance.
Venus
Venus is the emotional antenna of your horoscope. Through Venus, impressions come to you

from the outer world because of which you feel and react emotionally. The position of Venus by
sign at the time of your birth gives the key to your attitude toward these emotional experiences. As
Mercury is the messenger linking sense impressions (sight, smell, etc.) to the basic nature of your
Sun and Moon, so Venus is the messenger linking emotional impressions.
Venus in Pisces
Your response to emotional stimuli is a good deal deeper than you are able to get across to
those you love. What you feel is difficult for you to express, and frequently you are misunderstood
and imposed on because of this. Your muscles react to emotional stimuli - your impulse is to do
something for the loved one, to run errands, give presents; and you get genuine joy from the giving.

months, and sometimes even years around this time. A planet will often make the same aspect
several times in one year before it leaves that area of the zodiac and moves on. This is due to the
planet appearing to go backward or retrograde for a period of time and crossing and recrossing the
