can someone please tell me if I am dating a sociopath? I usually have strong intuition but it is often clouded by my emotions

I agree with the other comments. More important than whether or not he is officially labeled as one is what you see / know about him. If his behaviour and treatment (of you and others) is causing you to ask this question, then at the very least, you're dealing with someone who isn't treating you the way you want to be treated.

I am involved with a person who has a lot of sociopathic tendancies. A true Sociopath does not have any feeling or empathy even for animals. So if there is some sort of empathy for SOMETHING SOMEWHERE, hes not a full blown. But can have LOTS of sociopathic tendancies and traits.

My sons dad may have had some narcissistic tendencies/traits but I am not sure it was full blown... But certainly unbearable which is why I left him

But this guy, idk - maybe it's because I was hurt by my sons dad so much I am still afraid
I warned him I may not be ready
And as far as no remorse for anything, well he has a cat that he practically worships so ... Maybe he's not? Or at least not full blown?
I just feel very tested by him and very much under his thumb... I've never experienced the feelings I do with him & especially so soon into knowing someone
Like usually these things don't come to the surface until much later
But he is a Scorpio (rising and sun) so the feeling tested by him could come from that? Idk it's been years since I've been around a Scorpio and even less since I've dated one
I do appreciate everyone's feedback I'm definitely thinking it all over carefully

could be a scorpio thing...the scorpios I KNOW are VERY testing... A sociopath will lead you on to believe that you two are soulmates and are perfect together but will fake all the feelings. Sociopaths do this just for the sheer control over another human. Just knowing they HAVE you. im involved in this right now. I can never let my guard down. I have to constantly "act" like i dont need her and put my attention elsewhere and on other people to keep her guessing if she has me or not.
