I am a recent graduate who is trying to find the right career path. Would you be so kind as to tell me what strengths or talents you see in my natal chart? What professions suit me? Does my chart show the ability to reach the top of my field or become renown in some way? Does it show an ability to become well-off financially? I want to find my calling in life...a way to give back to the world...not just cashing a paycheck. I am really feeling quite lost. I know where I want to end up, but have little idea how to get there or where to start. Any insight you can give me would be greatly appreciated. I have included my natal chart, both Placidus and Equal house (read whichever you prefer). Please let me know if you require any further information. Thanks so much!

This is just from the top of my head, i took a quick glance only: self-employed or a leading/responsible position, create a way to help immigrants, disadvantaged persons, etc. with their struggles of any kind

Interesting, you have MC conjunct Regulus, a great fixed star. (and conjunct my AC tightly lol)

Let's see... MC is the cusp of the 10th house, the house of career and public image, as well as where we stand in society. Virgo MC shows a career path that is about applying ones' talents at the service of others. This is not about being a slave of routine work, even if Virgo is linked to routine, but about applying your talents on a job that has meaning to you, that helps others. Virgo in the highest level is altruism, as one believes in what it serves that it is only serving coz it believes in its value. Also, you can be methodical, you need to feel that your career is realistically reachable, structured. Mercury, ruler of the 10th house, is in the 9th house, a house related to higher education, philosophies, cultures, higher knowledge and wisdom, as well as travelling. Saturn is squared to MC/IC axis, but trine MC ruler Mercury, from the 1st house. Do you feel that sometimes your personality is at odds with your career path? But Mercury trine Saturn again shows a preference for what's structured and methodical. Also, Mercury is square Pluto that is in the 12th house, with Pluto being the ruler of AC. Again, you might feel at odds with your career path at times, feeling that you don't feel identified with it. Since it is ruler of your AC, it can point to a major area of life that you focus in. In the 12th house can show that you can be more introverted, inner focused, not always show your real self. Also, do you feel that there are some inner insecurities that might affect your career path?

Now looking at your 6th house... The 6th house, house related to Virgo, is the house related to daily routine and jobs. Ruler of the 6th house is Mars, and it is conjunct Moon and widely Neptune, and squared to Venus. Neptune here can create a very idealistic view, but can also blur things and make it confuse. They are all in the 2nd house, which is house of finances as well as personal values. Neptune is the ruler of 4th house, Moon is the ruler of 9th house, and Venus is the ruler of 11th and 7th houses. Do you feel that your job is often in conflict with other people or groups?
Also, Neptune is quincunx Mercury, which can show further confusing and idealizing of your career path.

Hmm honestly I'm not sure what can I suggest, thought your North Node is in Aries in the 5th house, and you have Leo Sun and Mercury, plus 2 planets in your first house. This can show that your lesson is to focus more on self, to learn to be assertive and express yourself creatively.

It seems that you might have a hard time harmonizing your sense of self and your career path. In what area did you graduate?

Thank you so much for both of your replies. I majored in History with the plan to go onto law school. However, I have had a change of heart. Incurring immense student debt and the lifestyle of a lawyer does not appeal to me. I do feel conflicted about my career path in the sense that I am both intellectual and creative. I used to think I had to choose one, and suppressed my creative side. I would like to incorporate both sides into my career, if possible. My dream is that whatever path I choose enables me either through prestige and/or income to have the ability to make a significant difference in the world. Please if there's any other information that might be helpful, let me know. Any insight is so appreciated. So there is no career direction indicated in my chart? Is there any indication of potential for success? Once again thank you both so much!

Thanks Enneline, that's sweet! I'm still not experienced in reading other people's chart, but I hope that I can share what I know to help others. Having being a newbie myself years ago, I was grateful of others who helped me so I should help a bit too.

Yes, I can see the longing for success and prestige in your chart and I can see the creative talent as well as the talent for down-to-earth things and objective/realistic issues. I have the feeling that you need an individual career in the sense "more individual than others need". Pls. keep in mind that being creative is not limited to the classic fields like writing novels, poems, paintings, Music, etc. Maybe you need to create something very factual...

Thank you again AriesLilith and Enneline

AriesLilith: I will definitely check that website out...I love it when people share resources. Thanks so much!

Enneline: Some careers I have considered fit your description of creative, yet factual: Documentary filmmaker, non-fiction writer, owning my own business.

I agree with you, I definitely need a profession that allows me independence and does not have a routine schedule. It's scary though because anything that interests me seems risky...which goes against the part of me that craves security.

Isn't my 5th house strongly supporting creative endeavors? My north node is there in Aries (learning to be independently creative); Additionally, I have Part of Fortune and Vesta there. Am I interpreting this correctly?

I also have a couple questions about house rulerships in my chart...perhaps I should make a new post?
