I have decided I will no longer log on to this site. I have tried and tried to get a reading and have to literally beg. I have noticed that if you have nothing to give in return ie: a card reading that one is just wasting their time.
The site advertises as saying "Free readings of any kind offered." It does NOT say that one must have a knowledge in reading cards in order to get one in return!
I came to this site as I have very limited knowledge of astrology and would like to learn but I see it has also become a popularity contest with the same people asking questions over and over. I understand it takes a bit of time to do a reading but if you don't have the knowledge to do one in return what is the purpose of this site?IP: Logged |

Try to offer readings even if you don't know how to -- try and learn =). Have fun, don't go! ------------------

I think that was a jab at you Empress. poochycat, I actually pulled cards for your most recent query last night. However, they told me nothing substantial, so I marked it off to not having a connection to your concern. Sometimes that happens, and I'm sure I'm not the only one to whom it does.At the end of the day I encourage you to consider that each of us does this out of a genuine desire to help someone out in some way. I wouldn't presume to speak for everyone on here, but I can tell you for my own course that I have bad days, 'off' days, feel specific connections or not to any given question or query; and I base my responses (or lack thereof) on those factors - if I have nothing to contribute, I'd just further serve to muddy the waters. I don't feel it's universal, this gift. I think we're drawn to ask and answer specific questions of specific people at specific times - not because of what they can do for us, but because it's our purpose in that moment. So to try to parrot off something to you 'just so that you get a response' would be unfair to you and a gross abuse of the gift. Again, this is only my own perception (and I'd love to hear those of others), but I hope it helps you see things from a different perspective and maybe answers at least a couple of "whys" for you. I disagree with you. A lot of people help out each other for the help without asking anything in return.
Also, you have had lots of other people read for you in the past & I know norainnorainbows kindly spend a lot of her time reading for you.
It's not your right that people read for you in their own time and I also do not understand the great dramatic fuss over this.

I understand poochycat. I just wanted to be clear in my process - I answer brand new questions from brand new people with nothing to 'offer me in return' all the time...IF what I see can help them in some way. And I know for a fact that I'm not the only one who responds this way, because Enlightened helped me out when I was BRAND NEW and had no clues at all. That is simple Universal Law. If you give, you receive many times over, so, in that essence, it is fair. But it doesn't mean you should be upset. People are volunteering their time, and threads move down the list quickly. Keep bumping the thread, and someone will help you. Be patient.IP: Logged |

This is so true. I'm not a psychic or card reader, I just started reading other people's chart recently, but I also need to feel affinity and in tune with my own intuition as well as the chart to be read, in order to be able to contribute. I try to read but if I feel that I can't really grasp the general feel of it, I'd have to skip the chart. It wouldn't be good to parrot anything just for the sake of giving a reading, I might not be accurate and that would not be good for the person in need. IP: Logged |
