For a dating site and I'm beginning to think it was a stupid idea. Waste of time and money...stupid gimmicks.

Anyone have any insight? Further insults to throw at dating sites?

I also signed up to one of those "get-to-know-each-other" sites a while ago You can actually get to know some decent people there but it depends on the type of website. Most of the people are just not looking for dating or a relationship but just to have a fling :/ So it's kinda useless but you never know! :3

I was looking at readings for aries this month and said aries people sun, ASC, moon. Might find love over internet. Possible long term stuff too. With mercury rx in Aquarius.

I joined one a few weeks ago and the key part is to have an open mind. People aren't great at writing about themselves so don't take everything as set in stone. Be generous and open to meeting new people.

I think you could have a lot of fun with it!

I'm already annoyed with all the notifications! I'm terrible at this online stuff. So while I get the whole having fun with it, it ends up feeling like something else that adds stress to my daily life. Is that weird? It's also why I don't have any other social media besides fb.

No. I have the exact same thing.
On the other hand I have a lot of friends that met their lasting partner ;marriage, living together, child, etc. online....
So it might be worth a try.

I've been on more dating sites than I care to mention, lol. I tried zoosk as well and didn't like it at all. I found it to be sort of sleazy and only kept it a month. I have met some good and bad ones on many different sites. Just take your time and if you don't feel comfortable with someone then trust your gut. You have nothing to lose by talking to someone on there. It just takes time to figure out who is genuine and who isn't. All I can say is it's a learning process and always trust your gut!

I wouldn't join a dating site. I get the impression a lot of women are looking for a serious relationship/Mr Right and a lot of the men are just looking for a casual hookup or bit on the side (sweeping generalization I know!).

I once was on Match.com years ago for a few months and narrowed my search to guys who looked like an ex-boyfriend of mine. Limiting my options somewhat eh? lol. In the end I never met anyone on it in real life although did end up friends with one of the guys who I still stay in touch with. I think I was just curious to see what was out there. I'm sure there are many people who find love on dating sites but my attitude is you'll find someone when you're not actually looking, and you can't manufacture chemistry just because two people are looking for a "special" someone.
