The 1st chart looks a lot more positive as the second has moon conj saturn and a few other aspects. I am a beginner by the way so I am still learning but it really looks like that to me IP: Logged |

the 2nd is more favorable for a relationship. the house placements are far better with overlays into the 1st, 5th, 7th, and 8th. it'd be a reciprocal attraction. the mercury signs are in good position as well, so communication should be easy between the two. you also have the cancer sun/mercury person hitting the MC angle of the partner exactly. the moons in the 2nd chart are in opposing signs, but they usually get along because they both value commitment. people have different opinions, but you want the vertex almost conjunct the angle and/or planet, so maybe 5 degrees at the most. but I'd go with nothing more than 3 and that one looks to be wide. angles are receptive, so unless a planet, asteroid, etc. is sitting right on it sometimes it doesn't make the person feel anything. in synastry you want everything very close.IP: Logged |

hello sm, many thanks for your input. Can I ask what are the things that work and dont work for both chart 1 and 2? quote: Originally posted by starmoon: the 2nd is more favorable for a relationship. the house placements are far better with overlays into the 1st, 5th, 7th, and 8th. it'd be a reciprocal attraction. the mercury signs are in good position as well, so communication should be easy between the two. you also have the cancer sun/mercury person hitting the MC angle of the partner exactly. the moons in the 2nd chart are in opposing signs, but they usually get along because they both value commitment. people have different opinions, but you want the vertex almost conjunct the angle and/or planet, so maybe 5 degrees at the most. but I'd go with nothing more than 3 and that one looks to be wide. angles are receptive, so unless a planet, asteroid, etc. is sitting right on it sometimes it doesn't make the person feel anything. in synastry you want everything very close.

To be quite honest I prefer the 1st chart! A lot more in common! you have the nn and sn aspects vertex conj asc. It feels more fated. The second chart I saw moon and mars conj which looks a bit scary to me and moon conj saturn for synastry is bad, the saturn person can destroy the moon person emotionally! IP: Logged |

On the other hand the second chart looks more lively and the suns dont make a square which is a good! What bothers me with the 1st chart is the vertex conj chiron! room to be very hurt in thisIP: Logged |

I thought vertex conjunct anything is a good thing..for chart 2 I think the moon saturn conjunct is too wide? IP: Logged |

hello starmoon, I have a question, for chart A isnt the north node conjunct moon and south node conjunct moon there? quote: Originally posted by starmoon: the 2nd is more favorable for a relationship. the house placements are far better with overlays into the 1st, 5th, 7th, and 8th. it'd be a reciprocal attraction. the mercury signs are in good position as well, so communication should be easy between the two. you also have the cancer sun/mercury person hitting the MC angle of the partner exactly. the moons in the 2nd chart are in opposing signs, but they usually get along because they both value commitment. people have different opinions, but you want the vertex almost conjunct the angle and/or planet, so maybe 5 degrees at the most. but I'd go with nothing more than 3 and that one looks to be wide. angles are receptive, so unless a planet, asteroid, etc. is sitting right on it sometimes it doesn't make the person feel anything. in synastry you want everything very close.

yes, the moon in the first chart is conjunct to the partner's north node, and the nodes themselves are conjunct to each other. nodes are not planets, they are points within a chart, and whenever someone has a personal planet conjunct to a node it would signify that the partner is in their life for some reason and/or lesson to be learned. it's a growth point for the planet person, and usually comes with a lesson or growing point that is associated with that planet and/or house. the node person might feel nothing at all - because it's not a personal planet. in the case of the vertex, it would be similar to having another angle on your chart, and the vertex does have a more 'fated' feeing to it; the partners know they have come together for some reason, which doesn't always mean a romantic one. the vertex conjunct the ASC would be like having a DSC/ASC connection I suppose; one partner might bring something along that the other lacks. but just having the vertex in the chart and conjunct to something (like chiron) doesn't mean it'll be significant. ideally you'd want the vertex conjunct to an angle, conjunct to a major personal planet, or vertex-vertex. in the first chart you do have the vertex conjunct to the ASC and it looks like a venus as well. astrology is just a tool; ultimately you disregard the charts and go with whomever your heart tells you to.
