As for my own question: I'm beginning to feel the haze I've been under for the last couple of weeks lifting, so I think just a general reading for the next 2 weeks-month? Anything I need to be aware of?

7/Diamonds is significant of an argument over finances, possibly on the job - generally expected to be resolved happily - confirms that. 6/Spades tells of small improvements. I see that as compromise. Jack /Diamonds tells me that he probably has someone he rather trusts professionally to some degree in his ear, urging him to lowball the h*ll out of you in hopes that you'll crumble. However, I get the really strong sense that this person is looking out for his own bruised pride and not the bottom line - jealousy is an ugly small business.

Overall my very best recommendation to you (and this comes from a very right brain-/left brain-balanced person): as you go in to speak nuts and bolts about this position, TAKE OFF your artist's hat and put on your business professional's hat. Go in with a number you believe you deserve and a bottom-line acceptable number. Consider benefits-in-lieu as additional options for compromise; write them down and take them with you. Remember that YOU are your own product - you have a service to provide, they need it. Don't go in under the misconception that they're "doing you a favor" - it's not that simple at all, but they WILL capitalize on that if they sense it, and you'll have handed them your power of negotiation on a silver platter.

Represent and GUARD your brand as well as he intends to represent and guard his! Any good businessman loves a solid negotiation. He'll respect you far greater for having shown your knowledge of your worth at the outset, and will take you far more seriously as time goes along.

You might consider a contract as well, with terms you both agree upon, just so that everything is completely clear and above-board if you have reservations about his resolve to follow through with future promises - if it's in writing, there's no grey area.

I don't think MK will be the one doing the interviewing or the package presentation, no - in fact, I'm still highly inclined to believe it will be the owner or someone heavily invested. I also still believe that the package you're offered initially is just...a combination of "throwing something out there to see if you'll bite" and plain ol' good business sense.

Thanks for your further update. I have a feeling I might not get the salary that I am used to but I will be back with MK. I guess that is the stalemate card that I keep pulling. Not to worry you were not condescending. If I may I would like to ask further questions as the date approaches in June? It would be July 3 that I would see him. Turns out the transits for both of us are excellent. Lots of sextiles and conjunctions in our synastry. Venus, mars woo hoo!
