I couldn't sleep. My intuition must be really active now. Yesterday I felt as though there were people (not nice ones) from where I once worked trying to interfere with me and the person I bumped into earlier this year. Am I imagining this or have they influenced him?

Your reading for me and him sounded right, since they are the same people who have been gossiping and talking about me as before. It all stems from a disagreement and the resulting hard feelings from someone at another company and was passed to them--untruths and exaggerated, too. I sensed that he did know some things already and validated or disproved them unlike many of my other coworkers who just believed everything they heard. I thought about getting someone to call the other employer to check my employment info for a potential job just to see exactly what is being said about me, but unsure if I should do this. The person I'm thinking of to make the call would probably scare them. I've taken a few seminars with this person and they are a county judge. If anyone can read people, they can and he seems to enjoy debating stuff and interacts positively with me. What do the cards think of that idea?

Here's what I have for you:

I went with the tarot for some reason. The base card is the Page of Wands, which represents you as a loyal person and trusted friend. The wheel of fortune crosses that, so that tells me there is some karma between you and this guy--there are two cards--hermit reversed and 9 of cups upright, so patience is needed for a good outcome. Don't act hastily. Prudence is necessary. There's something you are trying to recover from and the difficulties can be overcome and a good outcome is shown by the four of wands. I see some forward movement, but then delays and another person going out of your orbit, but your strength and determination over the whole situation will help you to succeed. Taurean's are good at patience, so this situation should be easier for you to handle.

I do think that an anonymous call made by your judge friend seeking referral might well be in order - as a former manager myself, I can tell you that we have to be very, very careful with regard to what we address with people who call about former employees because much can be considered slander, which is pursuable in a civil court. Just saying. If the former employer is getting personal and inappropriate, maybe a call from a judge is just the order of the day to get them to shut up.

There is also a state statute here, that if a person who is not in a supervisory or HR capacity, makes false statements about you and spreads them to another company not only are they breaking the law, but those who also receive the information at the other company and spread it around, are also liable. This guy retired last year, but made those statements after they moved out of HR and then while retired. I confirmed that there are notes in peoples files for HR to contact him if someone asks about them. He's retired now and still doing it. He has contacts with the major employers in the area and they all do it as well--sort of like blackballing people and that's why others, including even the companies' ombudsman are afraid of dealing with him.

All I can do is ask the judge if he could help in that regard. Most of his presentations are on the U.S. constitution and it's value in society.
