Hey guys

Just to let you know and I'm sure you do it take a LOT of energy to do readings especially when offering 5, 10 or whatever. I don't know if other readers feel the same as I do but I get pretty annoyed at spending a whole afternoon doing readings only to have you go to someone else to ask the same thing!! Like minutes after! I don't even ask for anything in return (rarely).

In a recent post I complained about being ignored and that if you want a reading you have to offer in return. Well I have been learning and have offered a Lot of readings but I am feeling what's the point when you just jump onto someone else's thread. Comments are welcome. Poochy

Hi Poochycat,

I don't think you did a reading for me but I'm one if "those ppl." It's not so much that I'm impatient -tho I have aries moon . But the point is that I would like to hear various perspectives. As someone who learned astrology for 3 tears, I can do some self readings but in relationships, I get all confused and wanna sacrifice and accept and tolerate.

One of my threads here was for a guy with moon right on my north node. It felt fated. We had a grand trine. But Rosalind told me we won't work out. (We didn't). And thanks to her perspective, I start to acknowledge what I overlooked. Some readers are also more experienced or more straight forward than some other.

On the side note to everyone else, I'm willing to do readings for y'all too. Just wanna say however that I'm not professional. I have been doing charts mostly for friends and fam.

Pooch- I feel ya. I really don't like when this happens. I also don't like when people say they will exchange with you but once you read for them, they are gone. I have noticed that this happens a lot on here. I think there are a bunch of people who may be only concerned with getting but not giving.I have a cancer moon so I def feel hurt when this happens!!!

@jenny415 hope you don't mind me chiming in... I've seen that happen a lot here too. One person gives a reading and then the other person says "oh, i have to run" and the thread ends. I feel bad for the person who gives a reading. I have a pisces moon so I have to brace myself first.

Thanks Jenn for your support. Oh well. I will probably still give readings. Crimsonred gave a good analysis on it. Not you of course. You have a cancer moon? I get along very well with cancers. They are some of my best buds!

^^^i never did that. And I never asked in the same forums.

That sucks!

I have also noticed ppl come to LL only to ask questions about their relationships and never contribute anything...

Poochy, sorry you're frustrated. Your readings are in high demand and I definitely have appreciated your insight. I am willing at any time to return any! I have done some for you, but am willing to do more with no expectation of any in return

Thank you for all you contribute to this board!

Hi unknown, yes I did a thread on that. My excuse at the time was because I had no clue how to read cards and that the only ones who got readings offered exchanges while the rest of us got ignored. Well I have learned from my time off from work and have gotten very positive reviews so consequently I am being requested quite a bit. But it certainly is not perfect by any means and I guess it all boils down to ME first then maybe you.

I don't always see 4 open threads offering free tarot readings at the same time, but when I do, I see the same people on each thread asking the same question over again. Please give other people a chance #justsayin

But sometimes I just go to the "Have a question in mind before you click" thread when I need a quick advice. I find it to be quite accurate sometimes.

unfortunately, there are no set rules in this forum.

I've seen this happened a lot of times.

Hi Poochy,

You've read for me and I hope I didn't do that. In fact I provided feedback and asked some additional questions as I felt the initial question was rather broad.

While I do understand how you feel, I don't think you should let it bring you down or take it personally If you look at some postings, you will see that many of us in times of uncertainty and stress will hop from paid readings to paid readings trying to cling to any glimmer of hope, heedless that too many readings bring confusion.

So stay bright, warm and comfy throughout the snow storm and know that you are appreciated.

Hey everybody I will continue to do readings but if you need further clarification from your reading just ask. And thanks everyone for your support, it's nice to know that I have helped in any way possible and have contributed to this forum in a positive way. Yay, raining tomorrow and I can go to work, hopefully. Poochy

very good subject poochycat! it is why i decided to refrain a little from offering 'exchanges' here.

I think there is no rules as one would hope that others would have a bit of shame in them, and give a chance to others. many times i used to see posts offering readings and no one would have answered (time difference advantage) but i'd leave them, if i had just had a reading, or if had no pressing question...only to find the same people using up all the spots of the day...
and again poochycat! i think you just gave me an idea to try and maintain some kind of balance for my free few hours!

Hello, I am sorry some have been abusing your generosity ...i am writing from the other side of the spectrum, I posted a chart asking for help, got some sympathetic comments, but was looking for more advice, or experiences that others had with similar chart (12th house solar). (I also contacted a professional with no real personal help) I see alot of requests for help here, It feels sucky when you ask for help and no one responds. But I also see alot of people who join just to ask for readings and then don't give anything back. That is just selfish and rude.
I am here to learn from others' experiences and insight and to share what I have. I like to do Solar Returns for friends and family and keep track of our transits. I can look beyond the "cookbook" interpretation because I know these people intimately, I don't have the gift to see the person clearly in the chart unless I know them, and I admire those who can.
I wouldn't presume to do a full reading so I can't reciprocate with a reading but I do appreciate others' experiences and suggesting coping skills with difficult transits, etc. and I could share my own.
cheers poochy, maybe ask for them to give your reading first unless you're familiar with and trust them.

This resonates with me because I always feel bad asking for a reading and not being able to provide one in return. So, I try to provide support in others ways. Sharing my experiences with readers, etc.

It's tough... I think when people come for readings, many times, they are so desperate or in need of some form of relief, they are looking for anyone to provide them with some form of peace. I dont think it is personal. Although, I definitely understand your frustration.

Thanks everyone for your comments. Yes I know I am appreciated by a lot of people here. it's just a few that irritate me but I guess some just want that glimmer of hope as someone said. Just a FYI, I have found most definitely that when the same question is asked over and over again if you read for yourself the answers will become muddled. If you ask several others guess what? You get different interpretations and not always positive but you will stop and latch onto the person who gives you a positive reading. (Sometimes). It just shows desperation and adds to your angst. Does that really help? Poochy

* * * or sometimes latch on to the WORST case scenario and great anxiety, you're right. I also get obsessed with an issue, looking for answers everywhere, and in all the info, hope to take away some truth.
You are right, i think, to be offended, but try not to take it personally. Try not to give your energy away if you don't feel appreciated! I'm glad you brought this up.

Hi Poochy, I don't know if you have ever read for me but my tarot cards arrive later this week. So excited and I have been studying the tarot and its interpretations and layouts for the past months and have recently taken the step in ordering them, I ordered the Rider deck and a lenormand deck. I have NEVER read for anyone before so when I do start reading for peeps here i'm sure it will be fun and interesting considering I have 3 of my major planets in the 12th house and 2 major others in the 1st house in Scorpio. Looking forward to reading for you and see how accurate I am.

I'm not a professional by any means however I do have a friend who is very clairvoyant and I ask him sometimes if I'm stuck. I've only been doing this for few months but have been told I am quite intuitive and I think with everybody it develops more over time. Good luck with your reading Lutz and have fun with it. Poochy
