Yes!!!! I'm sending in my resignation letter today!!! Yeah!!!

After a year of taking on extra work without being compensated accordingly, I am tendering my resignation.

Any tarot readings to see how my boss will react n if there will b a counter offer n promotion? Will I get the next job quickly with better salary?

Yeah!!! So excited! Difficult decision but I am ready to move on.

Ahhhhhhhn........I think there is the better way to go about this and perhaps a little bit more mature instead of quitting and hope to get a counter offer to stay. annoyed that's how your boss is going to feel. I truly hope you have parents or husband or someone to fall back on. false hope and false happiness are very strongly coming out here so tread carefully.

good luck I hope it all works out and you find something soon and better!!

Thanx for the reply. It was not an impulsive decision but 6 months of deep thought went into it. I am not young n naive ya know...

Nope, no husband n no parents to help but Dun worry, I do hv plenty of savings to get by. I just have a two months notice that I must fulfil after resignation n this is not attractive to future potential employers. I cannot afford to quit only after getting another job .. They won't wait 2 months for me.

Anyway, I worked more 12 hours a day everyday.. N the details are just too much to repeat. Exploited is the easiest I can summarized. My head of department knows it n promised I will get my promotion... One year on, no news. Can't always work for free... There is limit. U are treated the way u allow.

I sound too happy, maybe that sounds inappropriate.

Spoke to my head of department. I feel justified when she acknowledged that I am exploited - that i am doing out of my job requirements and not paid for it. She said that promotion and salary increase are not in her hands and depends on the regional office approval and ask me to re-consider resignation without giving me any firm confirmation. (I do believe her) She is indirectly telling me to re-consider resignation out of passion for my job and accept the low pay that they are giving me and "hope" that the promotion and pay raise will in time come. lol.
I already have an interview on Thursday with a competitor company. I am sure i will ace it..

My only consideraton is that I love my current job, the people and my team under me.. Getting a new job is not an issue.

Help?

Any help in tarot reading? I have a 2 months notice to serve.. Is it truely that i will move on to another company?

Yep. Did it. Boss acknowledged that they exploited me. Promotion n increment out of her hands. No concrete offers except promises again.

It's ok.

I m going for interviews. I will get a replacement job easily. Just sad about leaving..

if you.ve been doing actual work for free you know you can contact the labor Bureau they have laws against that

don't be sad because you followed your heart. that's good that you didn't listen to her false promises of hanging in and hoping for an actual rave at some point.

good luck with your interview!
