I have a dear friend, I absolutely love her. But the past month has been weird, she keeps making excuses about an encounter she was supposed to fix me up with. She avoids confrontation at all costs, and I don't want to put her in that position.
Is there something she's holding up? Or it was just bad timing/coincidence?

I don't know what went on between you guys but I feel like you're making yourself the sacrificial lamb here when you don't need to. The strongest theme I'm getting from this is that the blindfolds will be taken off and you'll be able to see this situation for what it is soon enough. With P - is there an ex involved? I feel like the relationship is chaotic and that you two aren't speaking at the moment. One of you is waiting and serious about the other (albeit I feel you're both maybe taking each other for granted) and one of you is just done and ready to cut the BS, learn your lesson, and move on.
