Hmmm... Parents not particularly from different cultures. As a child we moved a good bit, and I lived in several different states, so it fits to a point.

I've got to think about this a bit. I did have times when I had intimacy issues with my father, times where I felt I couldn't express strong emotions in his presence. Also he was, mmmm, an alpha male type, so perhaps a bit of worry about measuring up.

But as for dating, I've been quite fortunate in the partners I've had with regards to both emotional intimacy and sexual expression.

I think that there's a good bit to this part. But I may have worked through much of this in earlier years. I just had my 50th birthday. Still, it does take time for a partner to earn my full emotional trust... I view this as somewhat normal. I do get very deep with my affection, and I think one of the things that draw women to me is I'm good at projecting that feeling.

I had a pretty good relationship with my mother. Unfortunately, she passed last year.

Dead on. Except for the macabre subjects. I don't like to fill my head with depressing thoughts or visions of worlds I hope will never come to pass. Oh, and I hope not to need the therapist. But I'd probably make a good one. One of my gifts is that women tell me their secrets. I'd like to think its because they know that I won't use them against them or judge them.

Yeah, Venus has Mars locked up in solitary confinement in her dungeon by both house and sign. He tries to put messages in bottles hoping for assistance in a jail break! Lol!

Low vitality is true. More emotional than physical. Sometimes find myself being stubborn over things that may not really matter just to demonstrate I'm not a pushover.

One theme I was hoping you might see... I seem to live the pluto death-rebirth thing in my life. It seems like every few years major changes force me to reinvent large chunks of my life... home, work, friendships, relationships. As I mentioned earlier, in childhood this was caused by frequent moves, but the theme carried over into adulthood. I've just come out of one such time, and a major one at that. I would probably attribute much of the "insecurity" theme you saw to these changes.
