Is this an ex or someone from the past?

I got 10 of cups, 3 of swords, and 8 of cups for your future. I see harmony in the past, separation, depression in the present, and moving on leaving the painful memories behind. Not sure if it's a friendship or love related, but I think there was some kind of need to talk some things out. I also think it's part of the process to help him or both of you move on. I don't think it'll be easy though, again, painful, but necessary. I think he's hurt or torn up about things. I don't think he's not in a good spot emotionally and wanted to get closure or figure things out. I don't like estimating time with cards, I don't think it's that accurate, but the star would indicate he will contact you again.

can I ask another question feel free to ask me some more too....... but just for the record I don't believe this man is going two be your best man in the future so be aware that things could not have longevity

To clarify I pulled: king of cups and 3 of pen. Do you work in legal at all? King of cups tells you follow your intuition, but it's also associate it with law and religion, so that's why I asked. Regardless, it indicates your status will improve. Again, 3 of pen is reward for all your hard work, promotion, etc.

I asked whether you should stay in Chicago specifically since the other cards didn't lead me to an actual move, but just a promotion and reward, I got Queen of cups, which would be a yes. However, I also think you need to listen to your gut on this because more than one card is suggesting that.

My opinion is you will succeed in either place and you're already leaning toward one place more than the other; hence, you know where you want to be, but second guessing your choice. Am I off here?

I don't get a strong feeling that one city will make you or break you more than the other. I think it's more about where you want to be.
