First off, do you all believe in soul mates? If so, do you believe a reader can tell you if someone is your soul mate. I have heard some readers say that soul mates really do exist, but just because a person is your soul mate does not mean the relationship will last. If this is true, that certainly is a pity... Hey Blessed, I never used to believe in the idea of soulmates until...I met this man who has totally rocked me to my core. I've had a few psychics tell me we're soulmates. We haven't spoken in a while, but I am told he'll be back. Who knows at this point. All I can say is I'm pulled to him like no other! IP: Logged |

Personally I think there's too much emphasis on "soul mate connection" - as in you can have a really strong relationship with someone but if someone tells you he/she isn't your soul mate suddenly it's not as strong?Also, your soul mate doesn't have to be your partner, it can be your parent/child/sister etc.. Malia from Bitwine told me the following about soul mate - there is an electric "current" of connection, that means a person has a "hook" into you and it feels like you've known them before and it's called soul mate but really these people are meant to teach us to "unhook" and move forward - sometimes together and sometimes not.

I have heard similar. As I said in the op, I have heard just because someone is your soul mate does not mean the relationship will last. Conversely, just because a person is not your soul mate does not mean the relationship will not thrive. Quite often we end up with people who are not our soul mates. I guess I am trying to make sense of feelings I am experiencing towards my significant other. Its like nothing I have ever felt…. IP: Logged |

I do believe in soul mates. But I've been told we can have more than one and it doesn't mean that the relationship will last either. So far I think I've met 2 of mine and of course, neither one worked out. I just had a strong connected feeling to them even though it didn't work, I still had that feeling. Hoping to find the next one soon and for them to stick around!IP: Logged |

I feel alive. I feel passion. He makes me hot and bothered and sweet and sentimental at the same time. His passion and intensity move me. He (like me) is SOOOOOO intense! When I kiss him…. I could fall into the kiss. it leaves me breathless sometimes. I smell him when he is not here… I think about him as I am going to bed. I get nervous before I see him…. I study his face… I want to make him feel better when he is mad. AND I can! When he is mad I know exactly where and how to touch him and his head will collapse into my hands. I even feel a certain energy when this happens.
I feel a closeness, passion, and energy I have NEVER felt before with a man. Too bad he is showing his ass right now. LOL. Not really…. He is just not doing EVERYTHING I want him to do. Lol. I believe in Soul Mates! I just don't believe there's only one. Or that they're always part of a romantic scheme meant to last forever. I'm totally for the notion that soul mates are people we have an easy, unexplainable connection with but I don't think they come to stay in our lives forever. They come to teach us lessons and to feed our soul in some way and then that's it. IP: Logged |

I do believe in soul mates. I think that you would already know if they were your soul mate. I just knew.

I suppose there is a part of me who wants to believe that because someone is your soul mate they are cosmically bound to you forever. That there is a some rule which mandates it MIUST work because if it does not work out with your soul met, who on earth will it work with!? Lol. Honestly, I feel like more than one person can be your 'soulmate'. I believe in reincarnation and past lives, and some of us have lived MANY lives, meaning we have encountered many souls with whom the connection is there. I also believe that a soulmate doesn't necessarily have to be romantic in nature. Meaning a best friend, a family member can be your soulmate. Love is love, romantic or not. I personally, have never asked a psychic if so and so is my soulmate. When I have a soul connection with someone...I sort of feel it. It's like, I have known this person before. There's a feeling of familiarity. This has happened with my best friend. I don't know how to explain it in words, but internally, you'll sort of know that this person is connected to you, soulwise. THIS. Totally agree, I believe there are a certain number of people put on this earth for us and not all of them are here to stay, rather teach us lesson needed in order for our souls to evolve. And by soulmate doesn't necessarily have to be a bf-husband but a best friend, a family member as well. People that you meet along the way that cause profound changes within you. IP: Logged |

I do not believe in soulmates. It's painful to admit. I, too, was rocked by someone and allowed him to come in and out of my life at will. The intermittency is not what influenced my opinion. He changed. He didn't treat me the same. He started breaking all the rules of our relationship. I cut him off from all types of intimacy when I met M. Literally when we met, my emotions from him cut clean off. Me meeting M was the biggest synchronicity of my life. As soon as I tell the story, the person immediately believes we were destined. Like "you need to make him your boyfriend" was the last response I got trying to explain to a cousin that we weren't serious. When i am angry with him, he is NOT ALLOWED to touch me with his hands. Hugs are out of the question. On our first date, he put his hand on my leg in conversation for a second and I just...  The waitress realized we weren't ordering or paying her any attention.  If it fits your description of a soulmate, ok. I believe in fate and destiny. I just don't believe that any two people have karmic connection. ------------------

I've met at least 3 You just know. It's deep connection, comfort and peace from the get go. They just have an ability to affect you. You meet and u talk for 8 hrs easy. It's not lust, it's alot deeper. IP: Logged |

To me...it's someone you feel an instant connection with...you can meet them when you least expect it & in a romantic soulmate the feeling of "wtf...why is every hair on my head standing up?" At first sight of this person. He/she may not be your typical romantic prototype but none of that matters. Age differences do not matter. You literally recognize them on a soul level.
You learn to love them unconditionally & to accept their choices in life. Those choices may or may not include you. Some people are more spiritually evolved then others.
They're your mirror. To me- that's the hardest part. I'm living it....it can be painful. Soulmates/soul connections are usually not easy peasy.IP: Logged |
