Hi Happy,
My thoughts on this is do what you feel is right. I pics posted on social media as a snapshot in time. It's a memory. It's up to you if you feel you need to take them down or not. If you have truly moved on then it doesn't matter if you have his pics up or not. Guys don't have the same sentiments as we do and don't tend to care if that stuff is there or not. They may leave pics of an old girlfriend up not really thinking that it may bother the next person they date. Whether you keep them up or not what matters is how you feel about him. If you are keeping them there because it was a great memory then nothing wrong with that. If you are keeping them there because you aren't over him then perhaps try to find some way to get closer. There's no right or wrong in my opinion. Do what your heart tells you to do. Even if you date someone new they don't have the right to tell you to take them down or not. Hope this helps you.

Thanks FairyDust75, it's kind of you to reply.

I think I am trying to find closure and to totally release myself from it all. I am about 80% there and this is like the final hurdle. There aren't that many tbh. I think I was jolted by the fact that he likes someone else which was gonna happen at some point anyways. I need to grow a pair and just press the delete button and be done. That big old fat full moon has brought it all up again and made me aware that I am stalling. And I am just too fabulous to be stalling all over the place (I hope you get my humour !!)

I totally get where you're coming from and your humor. If you feel ready to do it then do it. So then let me ask you this, is it not ok for someone to have up tons of pics of their ex? If they break up should they take them down? What if you unfriend them and then refriend them? Like what does that mean?? All of this is new to me, I don't normally put my relationships on social media so I don't know how to react to it. But I get where you're coming from. Is it time to take them down, only if you're ready for it.

Thanks. It's a tough one to be sure. I think if you get into another serious relationship then having pix of your ex all over your social media might be a bit tricky. I know I wouldn't like it but, yes, we all take different approaches. I think it would be easier to leave pix up if they are group shots but if they are lovey-dovey shots, I think they should be taken down. I suppose for me, it helps me to move on and leave that part of my life behind. I tend to get sentimental and hang on to the old for far longer than I should.

I have a hard time letting go too. I still have pix on my computer that I can't delete. I don't look at them but I can't delete them and I don't know why. And social media is worse. In a relationship not in a relationship, ugh!
