The are lots of drugs in the area, though the roommates stick to legal ones (cannabis heh no problem with that). But I can see the plac descending into the dark side, I mean it's the kind of neighbourhood where I wouldnt wanna go jogging for fear of running onto a syringe. It's getting gentrified but is still one of the sketchiest parts of town.

Yes, absolutely! Beautiful on the inside, but I feel trapped but it is actually a dead-end, very near a bridge near the end of the island, just energitcally not a very zen place.. the characters of the neighbourhood would definitely accost me, and have already. The kind of place you can't come home to without feeling sketched out late at night (I finish work late so not good idea). And yes, lots of drugs, syringes on the ground, people shooting up in alleys...
