Intuitively it sounds like you aren't in sync with your needs so you attract these people that cause friction in those areas. You notice how you are friends with people opposite of you? That sounds like a wall thing, like there is fear in connecting with others you can share things with, so you're subconsciously attracted to the challenges presented by someone so different than yourself. It's kind of what I felt too is that these people are karmic lessons. You're outgrowing them and I think deep down you know this, but it gives you anxiety since you don't know what's ahead. Nothing to fear but fear itself dear 
Imagine that you weren't worried and all that fear wasn't blocking your pathway! Imagine what's on the other side if you just allow the change to happen instead of fighting it and followed where it lead you. You would meet people who you can suit better / better suit you. These friends you have now only feel better when your confidence is wavering or not in tact. If I'm wrong, let me know so I can look at the cards from a new angle. These people aren't there for you because that's not their purpose in your life. They're there to show you you really are wise and perhaps to humble you. I have a feeling they don't know you need them to be there? You come off like you're fine with it all.

Most certainly, dear. I keep seeing a busy hang out spot where there's stand-up and live music. Basically a dimly lit bar but I feel you as waiting for people there and feeling happy, refreshed. These new friends you make will fit your needs and be spiritual / creative types. Lots of compassion in them, although the routine you have with them won't be as fixed, but they will care about you and your well being / your needs.
