Mercury is retrograde so I think this job is good but may look a little off right now. You have to give up your preconceived ideas and push forward with clarity and focus. If you have an idea, wait for a bit before taking action on it.

You will come to love this job... maybe NOT during a retrograde but you will and romance is not an impossibility with someone you meet because of this job. Just no hard pushing... No throwing caution to the wind.

I got for you: sun + birds + rider + book + anchor.

I think you will enjoy the new job. The sun confirms that you are happy that you got this opportunity. And it seems the job will involve a lot of chatter and maybe movement? (as in from one place to another).
My only concern is the book and it seems to me you might find out something you didn't know about the place (which is not uncommon, when we actually start working at a place suddenly lots of stuff we didn't know about the place become apparent). Or maybe something that you weren't told in the interview.
Having the anchor as the final card is also good, talks about stability (like you were hoping for). And I like that the anchor is opposite the sun, looks promising.

I also looked into tarot and got - moon + 4 of pentacles + knight of pentacles.

The most interesting card here is the knight of pentacles because it's saying that you are looking to get a sign, that this is it, that this is the place for you. But the card is saying - stop looking for outside confirmation and just go for it. Once you'll start working there's the potential for it to be a good job for you.
Also with the knight of pentacles there's a warning not to give just the bare minimum.

Things can get a little confusing between the two of you, like your not sure where the other stands when you try to take things to the next level. What I'm getting is that you would have a much better relationship as friends. If you guys were a couple there would seem to be a lack of focus as far as keeping the passion alive. Y may unintentionally miss the things that you find important in a relationship and vice-versa. Even if you try to make things work there will always seem to be a disconnect that just can't be comprised. Again, the cards tell me that you would make great friends though

They were taking advantage of me until I stepped up..... and said... I will not sign until they make good on the last promise. It was a low bid but I am tired of this YEAR of promises.

Thanks. Yeah I'm just concerned about our friendship and whether it'll survive his new girl that he's seeing.

Things are already getting confused but we're hopeful that our relationship won't suffer.

There's no doubt that you and Y can remain friends even while he's involved with this person. However, like most friendships things aren't perfect and sometimes we tend to hit that bump in the road. Thanks for that. At the moment I'm trying to pull back but he won't let me, saying our friendship isn't going to change... And that he's not about to let our friendship go if she's uncomfortable because fact is we live in different countries, this is just friendship...

I don't know the girl, she doesn't know me, but I wouldn't be surprised if she's not happy with me...
