I don't know if this would be your first job, so the card refers to the work you've had getting a degree/studying or simply connects to the hard work you had searching for the job itself. Either way, there's maybe a feeling this is something you deserve SO much, you're actually confident about the feedback being positive. However, the Fool hints that thinking in such way is naive, and on top of that, if the job offer seems too good to be true, it probably is. If you DO get a positive feedback make sure to clear every detail on the contract.
So, to answer your question, honestly, it could go both ways. The Death card is about endings and beginnings, so you could be ending a period of hard work searching for the job and starting a new life. Or you could begin another round of job hunting with a new mindset, if this one shows to be misleading.
I'm sorry it's not a black or white answer. I do like these cards, I'm positive that whatever comes it'll be good for you as long as you're careful with the Fool.

It seems it didn't go very well. However, personally, I think you're also being pessimistic. If you have the habbit of thinking about the worst case scenario everytime you finish your exams this card could have popped out as an advice to set yourself free from such thoughts...

1) I worked VERY hard to get my Master in Engineering... but in my country there are few opportunities for my career, I've been unemployed for over a year now. Should I start looking for something outside my field, like a coffee shop? Problem is, if I do get a job I'm bound to a 1 year contract, so I'm divided if I should go for the money (get a job now, whatever it is), or go for my career (wait some more and keep looking for opportunities).

2) Since I finished my Master, besides being unemployed, a lot has happened. Let's say that not having a job is the least of my problems. Am I being taught a lesson with all these hardships? If so, what are they?

Do not worry, they are not doing this because they don't like you!
It seems they are trying to show off. Maybe they don't have many friends, or the ones they have are just tired of them. Because they need people to boast about their achievements and success, they have pleasure in doing so, even if it's only to brag about the very expensive coffee machine they just bought yesterday.
You shouldn't react to it, keep a pasive position. It's not that you can't do anything about it, but the advice is to just watch it unfold and nothing more. You don't want to attract possible troubles unnecessarily, because it's really not about you! Don't dwelve into unclear thoughts that intoxicate your mind with conspiracy theories about these people having seconds intentions directly towards you.

Yep, I can see why you're conflicted. With so many ups and downs lately you're now emotionally exhausted and afraid this could show up around wherever you're thinking of going. You are too worried and anxious about this matter, your mind is running at the speed of light most of the time... Things are not as complicated as they seem!
So, it won't be fun, but you definitely MUST GO! Whatever is it happening, it will bring you mental clarity about those issued you're worrying about. Hell, you could even have some sort of argument or talk with someone there that will leave you with a feeling of victory!

Now go put some makeup and dress nicely

So my question is :

Last week, I got to talk to a guy (initials : S.H) in a rather interesting way. My friend wanted to reach S but could not reach him somehow and since me and S live in the same country, he wanted me to call S and get the contact info of S so that I can give it to my friend. Anyway, I contacted S and all went well but I could feel that there was some sparkle I know it's funny, we haven't seen each other but I know he also liked me, he asked the correct pronunciation of my name to my friend (that's what my friend told me) and S called me one more time (after they got in contact) to thank me one more time and all and normally he didn't need to do that..
