So, I have a couple strange things in my chart that seem worrisome on the love/relationships/sexuality front. The first one is that I have Pluto (20' Scorpio 28") conjunct my Moon (18' Scorpio 15") in my 6th house but right near my Descendant (24' Scorpio 14"). I've heard this was trouble before and I'd like to know exactly what this triple conjunction represents.

The second one is an even tighter conjunction, also in my 6th house, of my Vertex (24' Libra 17"), Vesta (23' Lib 34"), and my Nessus (24' Lib 43"). I've read that Nessus represents abuse - my first boyfriend when I was 16 was an abuser and this has made me very conscious of abusive tendencies in people and relationships, and I am so scared of making someone feel the way he made me feel that I turn into a doormat sometimes. Is this related? What is going on here?

Here's my chart:

Thanks for your help!

Here are some correlations of Moon-Pluto conjunction in Scorpio.

First of all, in general, Moon in major aspect to Pluto often equates with an awareness of the fragility of human ties, so there could be a strong defense against letting anyone get too close. This may be due to deep fears of abandonment. (If you want to see what this aspect looks like, the Robert Downey, Jr. character and the movie "Hearts and Souls" is a good example of Moon-Pluto. Hearts and Souls treats the Moon-Pluto theme with a light, comedic touch. Another great example that depicts Moon-Pluto more seriously is the movie "Resurrection," with Ellen Bursten in the title role.)

In indigenous cultures, the stories of the experiences that shamans in training go through in order to become healers is a good example of Moon-Pluto.

The Moon-Pluto conjunction may manifest as losing the mother in childhood. This can be due to actual death, separation, or due to mental illness. Because the conjunction is close to the 7H cusp, you may be drawn to people who have similar traits as your mom or who mirror early family experiences. Any close encounter is likely to bring up emotional patterns and deep fears of abandonment. It also suggests you are obsessive in relationships or other people are obsessive about you.

With Moon-Pluto near the cusp of the 7H, you're probably not permitted to remain naive when it comes to relationships or to have superficial relationships. Any close encounter is likely to lead you to experience the bowels of your emotions and feelings and to change you radically.

Because the conjunction is in your 6H, physical symptoms may manifest due to repressed emotions and feelings, such as gastrointestinal and colon disorders. So, healing modalities that allow deep feelings to surface would be helpful. Two examples are rebirthing and holotropic breathwork.

I have found that Moon-Pluto has a unique ability to transform themselves that they can be the most forgiving of people.

It's my opinion that the best way to approach this natal aspect, its drama and turmoil, is to regard your relationships as initiations, that is, as sacred ritual, that is intended to deepen you and make you larger as a person. Psychology, medicine, the healing arts, law and law enforcement are examples of areas of study or work that resonate with this placement.
