Okay so something pretty weird happened, two cards were reversed to face me and i have never had that happen. They were 2 of Swords and knight of Pents. i would say that he is stuck between a rock and a hard place and feels pressure to make a decision. Temperance shows balance so i think he is very conflicted about you but overall he see's you as someone stable. This card is also about combing forces. I think he wants to be close with you its just right now hes in a bad place.

OK.

So then this guy wants to be serious with you very much but he feels so much unsure of how it is to be. It may be personal problems but he wants to make it work but he just isn't sure how to make that happen now. He also feels like he owes you out of respect to show you how he really feels and that he is serious.

Being happy. 5 of Pents represents feeling isolate and alone. I think this means when he saw you he was slammed with a ton of emotions, fiery emotions, which led to the peaceful happy thoughts represented by the 7 of pents.
