Tgem, sorry to interfere, before drawing some cards for you, if you want, why don't you take it? Can't you purse the other path (I suppose it is the one related to music?) while being on this job? Things in art can go slow or unexpectedly, so a job like this could give you the financial freedom and more time to pursue more artistic things without your bread depending on them. It could also help you be independent from the past, at least financially?

The problem is technically I already committed to the nanny position and I'm supposed to start next week. I just really hate to go back on my word and leave this lady high and dry

Ugh yes this is unpleasant...but do you have to start that major job next week? Maybe you can find a replacement for the nanny position in the meantime. Does your heart tell you not to take that important job or is it fear?

Tgem. I'm sorry to interfere but I was a nanny for 5 years...although rewarding, it is draining. I know you already told this person that you would work for them and I understand the posistion u are in but if I where you, I would apologize and explain to this person that this incredible opportunity has come up, I am sure they will understand. It's time to think of YOU and what will benefit YOU!

Man I dont know. It's not fear. It really isnt. Also, I dont have the job yet. It's not an absolute guarantee. Even if I interview I may get it, I may not. I just have a really weird feeling about it. I just don't know if it's the right choice forms. That's why I was hoping someone could pull some cards for me so I can get some advice from the universe?

OK. I did. I hope I didn't draw the cards reflecting an opinion of mine. But I did have a very neutral feeling when drawing.

Should tgem take that important job?

Cross Man Key Birds Clover
Something fated related to that, very important, a key conversation
Cross also as a crossroad.

9 of Cups (I hope that;s not my opinion lol)
2 of pentacles
Lovers

Ace of Cups on Lovers

I can see you pondering on the two ways here, so the spread reflects the question.

I see a yes in both spreads.

Let's see what Ceri has to say.

Mice - child - clover - garden - dog

I think the background shows your worries (mice) about your child, maybe the financial support, or it is the worryng because of the nanny position. however with clover-garden-dog I think it is a yes-answer.

Ceri thank you for pulling-can you clarify the question you asked that the spread reflected: was it if I should take the important job?

I pulled as well and got roads + woman + mice + book + Lilly

Don't think there's anything I can add to what's been told already by LeeLoo and Ceri. There's the worry and the decision is yours.

My advice with the book there that you need more information. At this stage you can't make an informed decision. Don't just say no because of the nanny commitment, research the other job - make informed decision

Just wanted to give you all an update. I turned down the chamber position. I didn't sleep much the night before but when I woke up I was really clear headed about it. I really didn't WANT the position. Way too many hours and a lot of stress, functions on the weekends, etc. I dont know how much it paid I don't care. I learned a lesson over the last 10 years- money and status doesn't bring you happiness. I'm not after the money, not after the status-I'm after something thatch will find rewarding and fulfilling that I can put my energy into. So I decided to stay with the nanny position and look to add another little one to my care. It will bring me in enough money to make ends meet, spend quality time with my son and still be able to do what I wanna do. I'm ok with it....for the first time in my life, I made a decision NOT based on what EVERYONE ELSE expected of me. I'm just so sick and tired of all their preaching...they're the reason I'm not divorced yet as they have instilled fear in me. But this last month especially, I have finally come to accept that GOD really will support me some way and somehow...I just have to believe there is a plan for me and stop being so focused on the 3rd dimension material world. It's just not on my list anymore...what is on my list is being free from stress, being happy and passionate about life and finding someone to love that I can be passionate with. And if that sounds all pie in the sky and far-fetched?? Oh well..I finally know what I want
