A while ago i posted a question in the horary thread about a ringing in my ear due to impacted ear wax. It was removed by syringing. Sadly a couple days ago a buzzing started and now its a ringing. I am going crazy I swear i hear it in both ears. or maybe its just so loud that i hear it in my good ear now. So my question is, will the ringing go away? and if so when? I just don't know what to do anymore I read the risks of ear syringing but I didn't know if i did i would've never agreed to do it. I feel like my life is going to change forever. Is changing. I'm afraid of the ringing getting worse all i do is research online about people with tinnitus, and how they get spikes. If so I wont be here I rather end it all as there is no cure for this. Even if the outcome in the cards isn't good, i would prefer your honesty. I have an appointment with a different ENT on the 20th. IP: Logged |

Hi Jultz,I feel for you! I have a hearing disability and once in awhile I have an episode of Tinnitus. It is not a serious condition just an annoying one. The causes can be from water in your ear, yes, compacted wax, sometimes an infection and listening to high music. Mine has gotten so bad that I was constantly answering the phone LOL. I'm glad you are seeing another Dr. Don't worry it doesn't last forever and like I said it's just annoying. Hang in there and let me know if you just want to chat to distract yourself from it. So I tried to think how it fits your situation and thought, maybe it's saying the answer to your issue can be solved by you - within yourself. And then I thought NLP / tapping - have you heard of it?
It's nothing intrusive and you can just do it in 5 minutes or so and see if it helps... I tried to look in Youtube for tapping but found this video instead - I thought it was interesting - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=INGo5kYfZIw Hope this kinda helps...
