I got

At present I think S has feelings for you(10 H, so I think quite strong ones), 8 hearts can indicate an invitation somewhere(can also indicate a relationship that is passionate). Did you meet at work or school?(diamonds are career cards and is in past position). But I think they have strong feelings for you and want to take you out.

I don't see anything special or truly bonding here.
He has 3 planets on your 12H, so I think his actions, whether perfectly clear or not, usually feel quite confusing to you, although you're probably good at picking things (vibes, intentions etc)

When did you meet? Was it at work? When did you first get involved?
You don't need to answer these questions, just keep them in mind for the following.

You see, Uranus was just transiting around his Sun and Mercury (in February~March)
I think this triggered his need to have some fun, to do something different.
So yes, I would say that he was stringing you along.
And now that Uranus left, he "snapped out of it" and went back to the same old.
Maybe he doesn't know how to break things up, so he's distancing himself to see if you get it and do the it instead.
