I don't need an exchange. I'm just exercising my cards and mind so I hope you don't mind if I answer...I got ring and scythe. Pretty clear answer IMO. It represents a broken promise. The ring stands for commitment and in business can represent a contract so it seems that either this person won't step up to the plate and follow through with the merge or will do something after the merge that's against what you agreed on. I also literally saw a lemonade stand and lawn mower when I read your question. I'm not sure if your use of the term "kid" when referring to him triggered this but I thought I'd throw it out there anyway. It shows me that either one or both of these businesses are very young, that he's immature, or perhaps discussion of merging is too early and would possibly better once the businesses have had time to mature. I don't see the two of you fusing your concepts or actually partnering, but I do see the 'think tank' vibe serving you both. Focus on bouncing ideas off each other, developing concepts into solid business structures and plans, but neither of you needs commit to anything. Both of these businesses seem very, very new - have you even started seed funding? - so the risk of proprietary indignity is minimal because everything seems like...just a concept...right now - there is no actual intellectual property, no durable goods/services at stake at this point. Is that correct? Something else will be needed in order for either (or both) of you to 'take the next steps' toward making these actual businesses, and I can't quite tell what that is. I'm thinking your collaboration efforts may help clarify some of that for both of you. Does this help? IP: Logged |
