I've had the hardest year of my life.. from losing the one guy I was in love with for years to health problems losing my part time job that was affiliated with my future career and now failing classes in college, i'm a third year and it was really critical for me to get good grades this semester I was critical for one class and I worked my butt of this past week to achieve at least a C so my gpa doesn't drop and after taking my final exam and practical and scoring 80s on both my final grade comes out to be a 69.98 just .02 away I can't stop crying feel disappointed because i'm one year away and here I go and get another D. I emailed the professor but on the syllabus it says he will not respond to rounding grade up questions, can someone please offer me advice or see if the professor will round it up to a 70 please IP: Logged |

aww Scorpio. hope you feel better. if he doesnt round why dont you try withdrawing/ dropping the class and if its past withdrawal period ask him to see if he can give u an incomplete therefore it wont affect your grade. i have finals this week and im getting really nervous about one class too IP: Logged |

Hi thank you for replying I emailed him and he said he will take a look at my final exam and see if there was any grading error otherwise he won't bump the grade. It sucks because a 69.98 is .02 away not even like a 69.80... lol and I can't afford another D my gpa dropped badly with everything that was going on the past two semesters, finals and college is so stressful sometimes IP: Logged |

i'm in the same boat. i don't see why a professor cant even bump .02 percent up... thats what they taught me in grade school so would be ironic if they didnt do it as well it may be a ****** year for you and trust me i've had worse but things always eventually turn out well! sorry i cant give u any intuitive insight, just related to your post so had to say something hehe so bumping for next reader that hops upon this thread! Hi hun
I completely understand where you're coming from. 2013-2014 was the worst period of my life, I repeated my senior year of college, I was severely depressed, I was bullied at work and quit my job, and I got my heart broken twice by the same guy, on top of having family issues. I thought it would never end. Although I do not know how to read cards, your story hits home because this reminds me of where I was a year ago. The key is to never lose hope that everything happens for a reason and these stuggles are meant to push you towards a better path, better than the one who could have written for yourself. I know it is hard to believe that things will get better and what I'm saying is cliché, but you need to focus on yourself and keep working on things until they slowly pick up. Don't drag yourself down. I'm really hoping you will see the light at the end of the tunnel. It is just a temporary phase. Don't let these events get to you. Sometimes the Universe has its ways of delaying things for the best. It also removes from your life things which have already served their purpose so that something new and better comes along. Maybe you had a pattern and by putting these obstacles in your way, the Universe is showing you that you need to work hard at breaking these patterns to create a better life for yourself. Either way, we all go through times like these and they're only meant to teach us lessons so that we can build a stronger foundation. Don't lose hope, really! IP: Logged |

awww! thank you so much for the kind words they were actually uplifting and gave me the push and hope that I need. I do need to just start working on myself and focusing on myself I'm one of those people who give my all for others and take care of others needs and tend to ignore mine and I feel like that's one reason why I always end up being hurt.. so i start thinking this is a pattern and this is how my life is meant to be to continuously have terrible things happen. It's hard to keep hope when every time i'm happy something knocks it down again. It's nice to know that you went through the same and are in a better place now thank you so much! IP: Logged |
