My soon to be x husband and I are getting a divorce. I retained a lawyer for 3800. I am hoping my husband can't afford a lawyer. Will he be without a lawyer in our divorce? He hired one to send me divorce papers back in may but I hired a lawyer and decided to try to get money from him instead of accepting his terms. My lawyer contacted my husbands lawyer a few days ago to see what their plans are and I expect a response any day now. I'm really hoping he can't afford to retain a lawyer for our proceedings.or that he has not been able to pay one already. Leave your question. IP: Logged |

I see that he will be able to retain a lawyer with no problem. However I do see your divorce being successful. That doesn't mean he has a crappy lawyer. but you'll be walking away from it more than satisfiedIP: Logged |

Could you be seeing me in depositions with his x girlfriend? My lawyer called her in for deps on Thursday or are you seeing me in deps with my husbands lawyer too?
Oh and will his girlfreind have an attorney she didn't have one in court a couple weeks ago

his girlfriend has nothing to do with this divorce therefore she cannot be called in for the deposition. I assume this deposition is to divide your assets....unless this is still for the harassment charges brought against you.

His girlfriend is trying to get an order if protection against me so yes she has to go to my lawyers office Thursday and give depositions IP: Logged |

I already got the Nevada job I'm just not sure if I'm going to take it. the negotiations could be better and more met on my side. But can u give a time frame of when I would take a new job if I didn't take the NV job? I am sure I will change within a year. yes she will be called the deposition but you all will be separate and not together

Oh ok my question to the cards was will you get the nevada job and I got a no it may be that you have the job offer but something better will come along or the devil may be saying u shouldn't take it. So my attorney wants me in the room to hear my x's girlfriends testimony regarding the op she is trying yo get against me. I think you're saying I will have to give a deposition about assets regarding the divorce. Possibly depositions on harassment towards my x. IP: Logged |

He'll be involved. And he will concur with everything she said...but I don't feel it's going to be as bad as ur thinking. Like I don't see a restraining order quote:

for your divorce I do not see her being in the room with you. for your harassment charges that she is pressing against you, yes I do see all three of you involved in it but again I don't feel like there's a restraining order that gets placed against youIP: Logged |

So it seems you are saying the judge won't grant the order and my x husband is coming to the deposition with her. My lawyer told me it was just gonna be her. I really was hoping my x would not be there. Good to know its a possibility.IP: Logged |

Well I just found out she has a lawyer and she's bringing him with her for her depositions I'm worried.My x's lawyer is filing the divorce papers this week I'm scared about that too but u said the divorce will go in my favor so I'm trying not to worry. Any insights? Any more questions? IP: Logged |
