I'll be around for a couple of hours if anyone would like to exchange...
Leave your questions! (And some background, please, like whether X is a love interest or your cat... )
Here are mine:
1. What do people in the office think about me? (I'm there for the summer. It's a pretty small office-less than 10 people.)
2. Why doesn't my boss like me? (This is my other, retail job. My old boss was awesome but this new-ish guy often flat out ignores me and is not giving me a lot of hours...)
3. Will I get into X? (School-related, would look good on my resume. Half-assed my application.)
4. Bonus, for fun : Describe my soulmate (or one of them ).

iv of swords, iv of cups/ rx, knight of pentacles.

He has very fixed ideas of what is proper and tries to get everyone to follow them without any arguments- you don't follow his rigid rules, so he isn't a fan of yours. However, if you can demonstrate you're really, really hardworking and are willing to do things 'his way', then his attitude to you will change.

no, I don't see X in your future. Your application only presented superficial knowledge about the topic.. sorry

Thank you, Mincey!
Here's what I got for your questions:

1. Anchor+Stork+Clover

Anchor has proven not to be a terribly positive card in my spreads-it seems to denote stagnation, lack of progress more than anything else. So, I would say that at first you will not really get to interact with this professor much. (In my experience, it could be that she will be swamped with other things or that a lot of other students will have the same idea and will flood her office hours when the semester begins.) However, Stork comes after Anchor, so things will change for the better. (It could be that she will notice you in class and/or that you will be more persistent in trying to talk to her outside of class than others.) And, finally, with Clover (and Stork+Clover), I do think that this connection is going to benefit you professionally, i.e., you will benefit from the prof’s connections.

2. Coffin+Clouds+Mice

Well, these are usually not good cards, but I guess they may be good news here: Your boss is definitely not happy you’re leaving. This change (Coffin) is making your boss sad (and maybe a tad worried) (Clouds). Now, I’m not sure how close you are, if your boss is also your mentor, s/he may be sad on a personal level too. But I think the spread definitely shows that s/he’s going to miss you professionally-you’re a hard worker and engaged (Mice). (With Mice, s/he also likely thinks it’s going to be kind of hard to replace you. Maybe s/he doesn’t really feel like training someone new?)

Thanks!

I do think you're right about my boss. When he was first hired, we did have an exchange very similar to what you're describing... him trying to enforce some (in my opinion) silly, arbitrary rule and me giving him some attitude for a minute... Not smart but I couldn't hold my tongue. Ugh. I thought that was distant past, though...

I also think you're right about X. Oh well... I'll put something else on my resume.

Venus:

Woman+Letter+Mice

Hmmm… Any emails/IMs/FB messages/texts from you that could have hurt him/made him anxious? Let me know and I’ll pull again. (Because that’s the only thing these cards are saying to me and I think you’d already know if you made him worried and/or sad by sending him something…)

Mincey, read it!

Well, if there are little assignments/tests during the semester, she may notice you that way. The cards look really good.

Aw, I kind of feel bad for your boss now that you tell me this and I pulled those cards. But you have to do what's best for you. Edit: Also, way to go! That means he really did see something in you (and I have no doubt your professor will too!).

Sure! What's your question?
I'm not feeling creative at the moment, so feel free to pick 1/4 above or just look at July in general (you can pick whatever-love/career/family...).

My love life readings tend to sucks, I'll look at career for July. I'll also do number 1.

Could you see how August will go for me in terms of settling down at the university? Will I have some semblance of a sex life there?

July Career-

Ace of cups / iii of wands / ii of pentacles

looks smooth sailing and nice to be honest. No bumps for July. A lot of communication- in person and via email. Seems you'll be pitching an idea which the office (the 10 ppl one) will like a lot- it'll take over your life- so you'll need to learn how to balance work and life.

Q1-
vi of cups, rx / the world / viii of swords, rx

Well, they do know you're 'new blood' for sure- but will not hold that against you in any way. You're learning, and learning really fast- own your accomplishments. Also, in the next month, try not to come across as a pessimist and try to be upbeat at work.. The future position is looking a bit iffy- not sure if you get bored with what you do or stop caring for it- this attitude will bleed into their perception of you. I think this aspect is entirely up to you and is subject to change- so take it easy and roll with the punches. Also, it would be nice to have a person to talk to about all this.

Here's what I pulled:

1. Mice+Ship+Birds

"Cold feet" isn’t the right way to describe it, but that’s the first phrase that came to mind. I think it’s more like you’ll be feeling a bit anxious (but also excited) about starting this new phase, which you probably didn’t need my cards to tell you (lol, who’s not anxious when starting a new program-will I like it there? will I make friends? that’s what I was thinking about…). (Mice, Mice+Ship). In August, there’ll be lots of conversations, lots of chatting (Birds), but that’s again not terribly enlightening as you’ll presumably be meeting a lot of new people. My cards seem to want to be really literal tonight. So I pulled another card, asking the cards to give me one word/phrase that would answer your question and… I got Birds again. Sigh. So, it seems that you’ll really be a busy bee, meeting a lot of people (and maybe worrying a bit about little things but the cards really are not showing anything negative).

2. Crossroads+Letter+Woman

OK, this combo had me scratching my head for a moment. But I think I got it. You’ll have options, that’s for sure. But you may be too focused on getting your degree to take advantage of them. Let me pull an additional one and be very blunt in asking the question… Stars. This looks like a yes. (A cautious yes because I’ve been burned on y/n questions by Leno before.)

Phew! If it looks like smooth sailing for July, I'm set. I'm pretty much leaving that office at the end of July. But yeah, being pessimistic is a real danger, so I'll try and stay upbeat. And there definitely is a big project coming up-I'm supposed to write a draft of something and I know it will take a looong time to do it. It's good to know they kind of like me so far, though.

Thank you!

Hah! re q2- I've been in * before, but in the *. I didn't have much of a life because I'm fairly reserved. Though I'm outspoken at work, it's really different .. and difficult.. for me to find people who I like. Mind, the place is huge, so choice should not be such an issue!

Hope things work out- you're not wrong about the cold feet- I'm ducking terrified of the changes and the fact that I'm leaving something which has a lot of potential for me. *breathe*

Hey Cherful! Congrats on your new job! (I think I remember getting July for you months ago... It's weird, but when you ask me a question, I often remember a past reading I did for you... Doesn't really happen with many other people.)
Anyways, I am getting pretty tired and I don't want to half-ass your reading. I'll gladly read for you tomorrow morning (or early afternoon if I get up horribly late, oops...) if you're ok with that.
