With only your first name and date of birth, I can’t do a full chart but that’s all right. I’ll do what I can. I’ll go over your name first and then in later posts I will go over your date of birth.

When all the numbers of your first name are added and reduced, the result is your Growth Number. Your Growth Number tells you how you will develop as a person or where your greatest development will come from. Yours is the number 6. Your greatest growth will come from the issues surrounding love, family, and service.

Read more at this link: http://numerology-thenumbersandtheirmeanings.blogspot.com/2011/05/number-6.html

It should also be mentioned that the first name is suppose to tell the person their “most personal lessons” while the middle name is their hidden abilities and the surname/last name are the characteristics inherited from the family.

Anyway, the “first letter and first vowel of the [first] name describe the natural or innate approach, the method of respect and reaction to experience.. .[they] can have a limiting or stabilizing or enhancing effect on a person’s experience.” The first letter of the first name is called the Cornerstone. According to numerology.com, the Cornerstone tells you how you approach life in general and your personality. M is ruled, for a lack of a better word, by the number 4. The 4 represents endurance, hard work, and security. But since the numbers rule so many different letters, where the letter is in the alphabet slightly changes the meaning of the number. For example, 4 rules D, M, and V. All these letters have the same general meaning but the M (13/4; a Karmic Debt number) represents spirituality while the V (22/4; a Master Number) signifies construction, according to this one numerology book I read. The M is also “more repressed, more inarticulate than the D.”

With the M as your Cornerstone you are industrious, courageous, patient, domesticated, and have psychic powers. On the flip side you can be hasty, impatient, and even bad tempered. According to astronumerology, 4 is ruled by Aquarius which also rules the 8 negatively. (This should be taken with a grain of salt because there doesn’t seem to be a strong consensus of what sign/planet rules which number.)

The last letter of your first name is called the Capstone and according to numerology.com it’s your “finishing number,” meaning that it tells you how well you finish things that you start. A is ruled by 1 and represents the head, much like Aries is the first of the Zodiac and also rules the head. You are determined, courageous, and a natural leader. On the negative side you can a “very critical person who is skeptical about everything and sneers at the efforts of others.” So you are perhaps the type of person who finishes things strongly and with gusto but can be critical of others who don’t do the same. You may also like to do things independently than in a group to weigh you down.

The first vowel of your first name is very important. This one book I read said that “[t]he ancients believed that the soul entered the body upon the vibration of the first vowel and for this reason they were regarded as the most important aspects of the alphabet.” Numerology.com says it’s the core of your being but it’s hidden, something only the closest of friends will ever see. Your first vowel is E which is ruled by 5. 5 represents change, sensuality, and freedom. In this one book I read, it said that people of the Western world have a lot of 5s in their names. Anyway, in the same book I quoted above, it says that the E is “[a] particularly strong letter which represents communication.” At the core of your being you are entertaining, independent, versatile, imaginative, instinctive, and able to see things from many different perspectives. You can also be unreliable, fickle, and flirtatious.

I’ll be back to go over your Life Path and whatever else I can derive from your date of birth such as challenges and pinnacles. Stay tuned!

6 Life Path

The Life Path is our life’s purpose in this lifetime. The 6 represents love, responsibility, and service. With a 6 Life Path you are meant to be a nurturer and hard worker. This Life Path is often called the Teacher because you are destined to teach others love, empathy, and overall how to live their lives peacefully. You’re compassionate, admirable, and like to seek balance. You could also be gifted musically and have good business sense. Most of your life will revolve around the family/community and thus you are apt to be maternal.

With this Life Path, however, you have to guard against feeling overwhelmed by the responsibilities you took upon yourself and to learn the difference between what a lot of numerologists call “help vs. interference.” You also have to be careful of just being a shoulder to cry on or a person who always listens. You have to actively help others while keeping that “help vs. inference” in mind. Learning how to love and help others in a more detached manner and not being so critical of others, worrying so much, and being a perfectionist are also lessons of this Life Path.

Well, I still have more information I can put. I've been kinda lazy, to be honest. And I don't really know how tarot cards work. Do I just ask a question and you do a spread?

1 Cycle of Youth (birth-30)

Throughout our lives, from birth to maturity to our later years, there may be an overarching theme to it. Period or cycles are just that, and are determined by your birthday. They are meant to give focus and meaning to your challenge and pinnacle numbers which I’ll get to later.

The first cycle is called the Cycle of Youth and is characterized as a high learning period where one finds ways to cope with their environment and their place in society. For you this period lasted from birth to 30. As a 1 cycle, your early life may have had a theme of being independent, strong-willed, and facing new beginnings.

This period is also characterized by a lot of progress and early success because of the 1s ability to be, well, number one. You were probably highly creative during this time as well because the 1 represents innovation. At the same time, however, this period may have been marked by crippling self-doubt and denial of that creativity, natural leadership skills, and individuality (I have this number as my Life Path, so believe me, I know).

You may have felt like you couldn’t really fit in with others because what you always wanted to do and be were things that others didn’t. But the 1 only does this to push us to be our authentic selves. You may have started a lot of things without necessarily finishing them.

Any job you may have had during this time may have been something where you were in a leadership/boss position or worked (best) alone. Regardless, by 30 you should have developed your sense of self which was probably beneficial in many ways for you because you may have not been one of those people who just sort of wander life aimlessly not truly knowing who they are and what they want.

Okay. Thanks. I did all the calculations so the numerology stuff that comes from your name will appear in this thread much later.

8 Cycle of Maturity (30-57)

From 30 to 57 you hit the Cycle of Maturity as dictated by the number 8. This period is characterized by finally finding your place in life and having mastery of your environment.

The 8 is a hard number to deal with, however, since it’s a more demanding number than the others (except for the Master Numbers of course). It represents Saturn, karma, and power. During this time the theme of money, authority, and (material) achievement are also prominent. You are pushed to look at things from a business-type of way and sort of back away from your emotions (which may be a little hard with a 6 Life Path).

This is also a time where you are probably working A LOT. The 8 (and 4) are considered the workaholic number for a reason. But because of this, the material wealth and business/career activities that are usually indicated with this cycle can be actualized. You may also gain financial freedom during this time--whatever that may mean to you.

This period, to sum it all up, is about pushing you to a whole other level of success. You will be developing a lot of self-confidence, ambition, and managerial skills. You will also learn how to balance the material with the spiritual. With a 1 Cycle of Youth that came before this, in your case, this time period is probably just adding on to the successes you achieved early on.

6 Cycle of Wisdom (57-death)

The final cycle is called the Cycle of Wisdom which lasts from when you’re 57 until you die. It’s characterized by self-expression, certainty, and wise decisions.

Your final period is the same number as your Life Path number, which is a 6. So it’s quite possible that if you never connected with your Life Path you probably will during this time. After working, working in your 8 cycle, you’re going to reconnect with your family and community.

The 6, as mentioned in a previous post, is called “The Teacher.” During this time you will have an abundance of wisdom from your earlier years that you will pass on to others (and this may not always be to family because the 6 in general is about service to others).

And although you still may have a bunch of responsibilities (such as potentially taking care of family members like grandchildren possibly), your life will be harmonious and happy. You won’t have to worry about being lonely during this time for you’ll always be surrounded by family and friends. Some numerologists also say that there’s a potential for marriage during this time as well.

Hey, that's great! I'm not messing up that bad then. (By this I mean I messed up the calculations of your challenges and pinnacles so I have to start over. Sorry about that. Maybe I'll put up your other numerology stuff in the mean time.)

There's also this thing called Personal Years. Every year of your life is governed under the influence of the numbers 1-9. It's largely dependent on your Life Path number (because that's the Personal Year you start out with) and the reduced number of the current year. Right now you're in a Personal 8 Year so the theme of the 8 is probably very strong for you.

8 Expression

The Expression comes from adding all the numbers from your full legal name and reducing. It represents potential natural abilities, interests, and attitudes. On a karmic level it’s the soul’s past life accomplishments and energy patterns. In terms of the whole chart, the Expression (or Destiny) is the second most important number of the Core Numbers (Life Path, Expression, Heart’s Desire, and Birthday; some numerologists include the Personality and/or Maturity numbers too) with the Life Path being the most important, obviously. Astrologically speaking, I would say that the Expression number is somewhat akin to the Sun.

Your Expression is an 8, meaning that the skills and personality traits you brought into this world is in tune with the 8 vibration. “Number 8s are directed, structured, authoritative, and potent. From the negative side, number 8s can seem driven, compulsive, obsessive, and miserly,” according to this numerology book I read. With this high energy number you try to balance the material with the spiritual, strive for perfection, and have a strong sense of right and wrong. (8 rules karma, Capricorn, and Saturn, after all.) Wanting mastery over the material world, 8s typically try to accumulate status symbols that reflect this—money, power, and material possessions. Because of this you could be a workaholic (like 4s). When the 8 is unbalanced, they can be very critical of others and themselves (the same numerology book quoted above said that the 8 is “the Judge” and represents laws), domineering, condescending, and have a superiority complex. “[The] number 8’s role [however] is to follow the outlined path—going up to heaven, getting what they need, and returning to integrate that back to the earth. They do this to infinity.” Some talents you may have are directing or managerial skills, strategy and tactical knowledge, and a natural knack of making money (a lot of numerologists say that people with this number as a Core Number are often born into wealthy/powerful families). (It should be note, however, that even though great success is very possible with this number, there is also great failure.) Fields for these abilities are pretty obvious: anything dealing with money, running any sort of business, religion, politics, administration, lawmaking, healing professions, etc.

If you want to read more on your Expression that’s far more eloquent and coherent than what I wrote you can check out these links:
http://feliciabender.com/numerology-explained/the-destiny-or-expression-number/
http://numerologystars.com/expression-number-8/
http://www.decoz.com/Numerology_ExpressionC8.htm
http://astrobix.com/numerology/expressionres/8
(Note that the last link is from a Vedic numerology site.)

Life Path + Expression

So I should explain how the Expression connects to the Life Path. In a very good numerology book I read, you can calculate the effectiveness between the energies (I don’t think that’s the right word) of your Core Numbers. But since I only took notes on my particular chart, I can’t give you a very in-depth analysis, but when you subtract any two Core Numbers, how small/big the number is determines the two’s efficiency. (This number is also called a Bridge Number.) 8-6=2. You have an effective balance of opportunities (Life Path) and abilities (Expression). So basically your environment will provide you a good amount of opportunities for you to take advantage of your abilities. You will not experience any substantial delay at pursing your goals. Now, this is very good at one level, on another level, however, not so much.

The Expression is also how you go about actualizing your Life Path, or how you approach the circumstances and experiences the universe throws at you to guide you towards your Life Path. Each number has either a harmonious, discordant, or mixed bag relationship with the other numbers. Some sites say that the 8 and 6 are harmonious while others say discordant. I’ve seen more compatible than incompatible but those sites were mainly talking about relationships between other people with those energies than between the numbers themselves. The harmonious people say that the two numbers have very good business sense and understand the weight of responsibility, hence why they would make a good couple. Both strive to seek harmony and balance but the 6 (Venus) is also about family and service. Decoz.com says that the 6 will do anything not to threaten their lifestyle and are usually reluctant to do things that reflect what they truly care about (probably because the 6 puts others before themselves always). 8s, meanwhile, are about goals and aspirations. They will bulldoze over anything and anyone to attain them. So this combination of energies is more disharmonious, I think.

What about you? Do you resonate with any of this? Do you feel yourself torn between your family/familial duties and your career/dreams? Do you approach helping others from a sort of business-type manner? Also, what do you identify more with, your Life Path or your Expression? The same book that talked about the effectiveness between Core Numbers said that when the LP and EXP are at odds, the person may see the more obvious Expression.

Sorry that I've been taking so long to go through your chart. Numerology is a lot (and I'm a perfectionist) and I do get distracted with it being the summer in all (and me causing drama in the other forums cause I brought up gender, oh my!).

1 Heart’s Desire

The Heart’s Desire (or Soul Urge) describes who the person is deep down inside, or who you want to be and is often hidden from others. It’s what feeds your soul, what your soul wants to express in this lifetime, and your inner motivation. Astrologically, the Heart's Desire could be likened to Mars. It comes from adding all the vowels in one's name.

You desire to be courageous, assertive, and innovative. Being co-dependent or otherwise held down by others is not for you (the negative of the 1). You want to lead, not follow. Combined with your independence streak, you work best alone where you can blaze through whatever is thrown at you. To be number one is your ultimate dream. It doesn’t matter where or in what, but you just have to be the best.

Your soul wants to be its authentic self but you may battle with low self-confidence and self-esteem. Therefore this competitive, creative, determined person may be more hidden than is usual for a Heart’s Desire. Since you have excess 1 energy, too, you may act on the more negative side of the 1 vibration. So you might confuse individualism as self-centeredness, ambitiousness as dominance, and initiative as impulsiveness. These are not the things will not feed your soul; you’ll only find yourself empty.

Life Path + Heart’s Desire

As with astrology, you have to look at the whole chart, or in this case your Core Numbers. Your 6 LP and 1 HD don’t get along. They’re concerned about different things. Think of Aries and Libra. The 1, like Aries, is mainly focused on themselves and may be insensitive to others’ needs. The 6, like Libra, often puts others before themselves and may feel guilty about pampering themselves every once in a while. There may be a tug-of-war of wanting to stand apart and to be a part of the community; to assert oneself and sacrifice oneself. There needs to be a balance and some moderation.

The 1 can help curb the tendency to be a slave to others (6) and help to maintain your sense of self. In addition, the 1 can keep you focused with its determination while its boldness can make you somewhat unafraid to try things in a different way. The 6 can help remind the 1 to slow down, to think of others—especially the family, and to try to approach things in a more harmonious manner. Together, the 1 and 6’s creativity can be used to inspire and heal many people. But all these positives may only come once you learn to balance your 1 energy more.

Also, your opportunities (LP) outweigh your motivations (HD). (6-1=5) So your environment will present you with things to advance where you have to go in life but you may not necessarily have the energy or drive to go after them.

Expression + Heart’s Desire

1 and 8 are harmonious. Your abilities (Expression) and motivations (Heart’s Desire) are complimentary and work well together. Also, in another numerology book I read, “[The] Heart’s Desire and Expression work together for wholeness so that you can achieve success and happiness in this lifetime. They can’t ignore the other.” Another book I read said the Expression is also the “outer path” and the Heart’s Desire is the “inner path,” which makes sense considering the words' meanings. And your inner and outer paths are very similar. While the 1 is an entrepreneur the 8 is the CEO/president/boss of a company. You’ll be doubly confident, business savvy, and decisive. At the same time all the bad traits of the 1 and 8 are also emphasized. So you have to guard against being demanding, domineering, and stubborn. I wish I could write more about this number combination, but I really can’t think of more to say (since they're so similar) so I’ll end it here. All I’ll add is that your abilities (Expression) far outweigh your motivations (Heart’s Desire). (8-1=7) So you have the talents to do whatever it is that you want to do, but you may not necessarily have the passion to do or in, your case of excessive 1 energy, you may not ever finish what you start. Next I’ll talk about your Personality number.

16/7 Personality

This number, like the other Core Numbers, seem to have like 20 different names. But what sets the Personality a part from them, other than unofficially being a Core Number to some numerologists, is that this number has alternative meanings. As the Personality it functions similar to the ascendant in astrology: it’s how others perceive you. Numerologists have said it sort of screens out people by presenting certain/limiting information of who you are. It’s also said to be the type of energy you readily let in. As the Inner Dreams or Secret Self number, however, it “describes a dream of desires cherished deep in the recesses of the mind,” according to this one numerology book I read. “[It’s] [a]lways a pleasurable fantasy, usually a fantasy of achievements which the individual makes little effort to actually accomplish.” ( Numerology: The Complete Guide by Matthew Oliver Goodwill)

So basically the Personality number is your outer personality and inner dreams. These names in numerology are pretty basic, aren’t they? But remember that the Personality and Heart’s Desire are two completely separate things, and that the Personality is not as significant as the Heart’s Desire and other Core Numbers.

Your Personality number is kinda interesting because it’s a Karmic Debt number. A Karmic Debt number is karmic in a “bad” way. 13, 14, 16, and 19 are numbers that indicate that there was some selfishness—as the 1 in front denotes—in a past life that you are paying for now. The reduced number of the Karmic Debt is how to deal with this karma but it often acts on the very negative end of the vibration. With a 16/7 Karmic Debt, there was an “abuse of love.” The self (1) was put before their family, community, and partners (6). Often this number indicates love affairs in a past life as well. But since this is not “technically” a Core Number and thus isn’t as powerful, the effects of the Karmic Debt aren’t really felt as strongly. You also have 1s and 6s in your C.N. and a fair amount of these numbers in your chart just in general. This, too, also helps to deal with this karma. But I could be wrong; it could be that the person needs the reduced number present in the chart to diminish the KD’s effects and you don’t have any so…

Either way, your Personality is a manifestation of the negative side of the 7 so you’re—or at least come off to people as:

-Indifferent, aloof, intellectualize your feelings
-Withdrawn, isolating, the loner type
-Difficult to approach and to get to know
-More concerned about your need for privacy than the emotions of others
-Too analytical
-Depressed, cynical, sarcastic

I should also mention that with this KD, you will probably “find that sudden, strange circumstances bring loss of friends and relationships.” This KD is represented by the tarot card The Tower, so when things may be looking up something comes along and completely messes it up (that something may be you, too; I have this KD twice in my C.N. so trust me, I know ). So since the Personality also denotes relationships to an extent, you may not always create or maintain long-lasting relationships. But away with the negative! From the Inner Dreams lens, you dream of being a researcher. You want to be someone who has a wealth of knowledge and who is very spiritual. To be poised, intelligent, and a mystic is what you want. On the positive side of the 7, you are all those things but it may take time.

The 7 is disharmonious with the rest of your Core Numbers so this energy may feel very weird. You may even think, “This isn’t me at all!” That’s only because you have no 7s in your name. The 7 is also a Karmic Lesson, which I will explain later. Since the Personality isn’t that significant, I won’t really do an analysis on how it interacts with your C.N. All I’ll say is that the 7 only appears as an early challenge number and late pinnacle, so you seem to only deal with the negative vibration of the 7 as opposed to the positive which sort of sucks.

Next I’ll finally get to your Maturity number.
