I say you need to come across as powerful and confident, then yes, otherwise things are just going to be super slow, not moving anywhere. And you really have to get up and go, do all the digging/talking/negotiating, then your chances are good

I am thinking about Anubis then, the jackal god, and maybe inspiration comes in a dream too.

Due to being able to see in the dark and the light, the jackal was seen by the Egyptians as a pathfinder in the underworld – i.e. the unconscious – leading the dead to the other world. As such it can be a great help in showing you the way when you are uncertain. See: coyote.
