Hi All,I thought this might be a little fun for anyone who'd like to practice! I just rescued a mule. I haven't met her in person, but I will later this week. She doesn't even have a name yet. She's only known as # 1164. I'll get to move her home after a 30 day quarantine. During these next few weeks, I'll learn a lot about her personality. It gives those who want to practice a wide range of areas to look at...for example: where did she come from?
what did she do where she was before?
why was she abandoned/sold in the way she was?
what's her personality like?
what are her quirks (for example, not liking ears touched, or not liking to load in a trailer, doesn't like white bunny rabbits lol)
does she know she's been saved?
what will her relationship with me be like? or anything else you would like to look at. Over the next few weeks, I'll report what shows! I'm excited to get to do this as she was going to be slaughtered so it was great to be able to save her! IP: Logged |

TWO OF CUPS, EIGHT OF SWORDS, KNIGHT OF SWORDS. It all started as a lovely relationship between her and her master. Then the human blindfolded her and she became very scared, so she attacked. It wasn't her fault! She just didn't understand what was going on.  That's a wonderful gesture you did to rescue her. Nicely done!  IP: Logged |

awww that is so sweet!!!! good for you! and her! Personality: fish heart key aww I think she is a softie  she will create a connection immediately with someone showing love, affection, sweetness. she bonds strongly, she needs love. she loves water, either to drink or bathe, or be sprinkled with it. ------------------

LeeLoo,It seems you are correct about her personality from what we know so far! The vet went to give her vaccines and prepare paperwork so I can have her shipped closer to me for quarantine. He said she is a very nice mule! She cooperated with him and he felt she has a great disposition.I'm very happy! Soaring, She does have a significant scar on the side of her face which tells me she could have very well been in "flight" mode scared. It could be from a lot of things. I'll know more when I harness her to drive. There are blinders with a harness so if something like that will trigger her, that will be it! I'll keep you posted! IP: Logged |

Interesting. So the blinders are normally used to prevent the animal from getting scared, right? Maybe the problem wasn't that they blinded her, but that they didn't. When I saw that card, the first thing that caught my attention was the woman's blindfold, but this doesn't explain what was the problem with the blindfold. You should try a few test rides in a safe place--with blinders, without, using half-blinders, or whatever options you have--to make sure that she doesn't hurt herself.Good luck to both of you!

Thank you! I will. The blinders are supposed to prevent them from getting spooked. There's actually a carriage and training company down the road from me. I will utilize their professional services to test her skills since they are equipped to handle any issues like that. I've driven a lot over the years, but consider myself to be a novice since I've only driven very well trained animals. It's easy to drive one that does everything you want IP: Logged |
