Hmm since I'm still practicing I think the first card is telling me that you're kinda worrying too much about this. Do you wish to contact JB? For the 9 of wands I think is saying that you're afraid that you wont hear from JB again... If that makes sense. And the 8 of cups might mean that you might just end up moving on from JB..

Very weird.. This is hard putting this together.. I think the cards are saying is that you will have a hard time moving on but the 3 of cups suggest that you will maybe be in love.. Maybe with JB? Or someone new.. But I was thinking JB.. Then the 9 of swords says you will be worried again or have anxiety...

M was surprised to hear from you! It seems that he wasn't expecting a text and what you said sort of through him off balance. He was happy to hear from you and see your name pop on his screen, but it seems that happiness sort of took a turn. He was unsure of what to say and felt what you said came out of no where. It weighed heavily on his mind for sure and put him in deep thought, trying to find the right words to say. I feel you left him speechless though. The man in my Hermit card is left tight-lipped and looking over the mountains disappointed and alone. Please let me know if this makes sense! I feel he was happy at first to get a message from you, but in the end, it wasn't what he was expecting to hear.

The cards I pulled tells me more about the past you two shared together. Looks like there was a strong foundation and things were going really well. The both of you had wonderful times and a truly special connection. He might have felt that in the past, he was the one who made all the sacrifices for this relationship/connection. He's choosing to take his leave in a cold manner because he feels that its time to move on and there's something he's dissatisfied with, he's upset about something you might not know of.

You have what it takes for sure to get this professional endeavor to work. You definitely have the skill and are quite professional. It seems there are unknown forces at work though that may prevent this from happening, at least for now. It looks like you may rush into this and in the end, you may wind up feeling stuck and unsure of how to proceed. The Empress shows you are more than capable to do it but there will be some blockages.

Is he young? I get the feeling that he isn't quite sure how to express his feelings and puts a wall up. He prefers hiding and remaining in the shadows. He doesn't like expressing himself and rather stay quiet. It also seems like he isn't quite sure how to word what he feels either. He feels stuck and thinks it's easier to pretend he doesn't have feelings at all and move on from it, because depicting his feelings is too hard for him.
